So who else hopes the Packers suck really bad this year and the Jets go to the SB?

Just to stick it to those idiots in GB who think they don't need a HOF QB, they'd rather go with the guy they drafted....I hope Green Bay goes 3-13 or worse this year and the Jets go to the Superbowl.

And that's really saying something, because a Dolphins fan saying "I hope the Jets go to the Superbowl" is something you'll probably never see again in your life.

This thread was inspired by me.

Actually, I'm hoping Farve gets a season ending injury in his first game. Blast GB all you want, but Farve is a bitch. Crying on TV saying he's done, only to turn around, again, and say he doesn't want to retire. GB was builing for the future w/o him, and he decides a couple weeks from training camp to un-retire... pathetic really.

My seats at Lambeau will remain empty until the GM and President are removed and replaced. The fact they can even call themselves managers is a joke.

I'm a bears fan so I always hope they do bad :) And the Jets have my guy TJ from the bears so they should have a very good year..

Snake Doctor 08-07-2008 01:52 PM

These Green Bay guys just bring back memories of that idiot Wannstedt and what he did to my Dolphins.

Pushed Marino out the door so he could "plan for the future" with Jay friggin Fiedler. These guys in Green Bay are gonna be Wanny's assistants at Pitt before it's all over with.

First of all, wishing an injury on someone is just wrong, no matter what.

2nd, if you actually would have listened to his side of the story in the Fox interview, instead of just believing all of the bullshit that comes out of the Packers front office, you'd understand.

A guy like Favre who has taken a beating for this team, and never asked out and never complained even when the team was pathetic...when they were rebuilding....when they only drafted and signed defensive players and gave him no weapons to work with....a guy like that has earned the right to take his time in deciding his own future.
The fact that they demanded an answer on retirement "right now" is why he decided to hang it up.

IF he wanted to be a dick he could have said, "I'll be back next year", and then changed his mind at the last minute and retired right now.

Brett Favre has every right to decide he wants to play football. Millions of Americans change their minds about retirement and go back to work.

He wanted to play in Green Bay, if they didn't want him, they should have given him his release. He's earned the right to have that IMO.

Better yet let them lapse and buy a couple of seats in E. Rutherford NJ.

That'll show em. :D

Yeah the guy with the record for most consecutive starts among NFL quarterbacks....the NFL's version of Cal Ripken, is going to all of a sudden get hurt before game 5 and be done for the year....since he's going to a team with a better offensive line than the one he left.

How much did you want to "bet" on that BTW?

Oh boo hoo, poor green bay, the guy you shoved into early retirement changed his mind and wants to play again...and you poor babies have to take back one of the best QB's in the league.

They should have been ecstatic at the thought of having Favre back. Why they have a raging hard-on for Aaron Rodgers is beyond me.

The guy who got picked 23 spots ahead of Rodgers by San Francisco is about to lose his starting job to a guy who was an undrafted free agent. They got Rodgers in what has turned out to be the weakest draft class in a generation.
If they were gonna trade anyone they should have traded Rodgers and just started grooming Brohm to take over next year or the year after when Favre is done.

Think about it....what if Elway had changed his mind and wanted to come back the year after he retired...and the Broncos said "Nah, we're moving on with Brian Griese"....or Marino wanted to come back the year after he retired and the Fins said "Nah, we're moving on with Jay Fiedler"....or Jim Kelly wanted to come back the year after he retired and Buffalo said "Nah, we're moving on with Rob Johnson"....or....you get the point.
ALL of those teams thought they had their QB of the future, and all of them were dead wrong.

QB is the most important position on the field and it's also the hardest position for GM's and scouts to "predict" how well a player will do once they start playing. You NEVER turn your back on a sure thing at QB. NEVER.

Spunky 08-07-2008 06:41 PM

The Seahawks all the way :)

Snake Doctor 08-08-2008 12:40 PM

My Brett Favre is back and your defense is in trouble.

Hey la, hey la, my Brett Favre's back.
