Why I Didn't Like The Dark Knight Movie

1. When Christian Bale is in costume, he sounds like a growling dog who's having a bad acid trip. It's too silly.

2. I wanted Katie Holmes to die instead of Maggie Gyllenhaal.

3. The CGI half of Two-Face is exaggerated, he looks like a flesh-eating bacteria has eaten his face. Or worse, he looks like a lost "Mummy" extra.

4. Too much blabber. Yadda, yadda, yadda. I fell asleep after the first ten minutes of the movie.

5. As much as I enjoyed Heath Ledger in the movie, he looked like a guy
wearing a Joker costume and aping the Joker. But he's not the Joker. Somehow, his character here reminds me of Brandon Lee's The Crow.

6. As Bruce Wayne, Bale is a few notches away of Patrick Bateman -- the guy he played in American Psycho.

7. The dialogue is excruciating. It is laden with countless slabs of pointless exposition.

8. And my main beef? The gritty realism of the story just doesn't seem to hold the idea that a guy running around as a winged rodent (with that affected deep voice) would be someone the police force would take seriously.

Supposed to be going to see this tomorrow night.

Not sure i can be bothered now... :disgust

I liked the fact that they blew up Maggie Gyllenhaal ...

i like the movie, but it was more about the joker than batman, also it seemed like it was dragging on and on. otherwise it was a good movie

I personally think Batman 2 went on too long. But well planned out movie.

I prefer the first on, batman begins.

tranza 08-07-2008 08:04 AM

The only thing I have to agree in that he really sounds like a growling dog when he is in costume!!

Tom_PM 08-07-2008 08:04 AM

I saw the batman tv show when it knocked the munsters out of the top ratings spot. I've paid my batman dues goddamn it.

Enough superhero's for christs sake. Come up wth a new fucking idea for once, hollywood.

Whats next? Batman the Sperm chronicalling the swimmy surge of power exerted wthin the testicles of hollywoods new male heart throb? Just stop already.

i really liked this movie. i can't stand the rest of the batman films but this one was alright mainly because i liked the jokers character.

with super hero movies i gave them a little slack on batmans over exaggerated voice and the face of twoface.

but i didn't like how the bitch dies and how long they dragged the fucking movie out.

fris 08-07-2008 08:56 AM

two face compared to tommy lee jones was better, more dark.

loved the cgi

TubeTitans_SusieQ 08-07-2008 09:00 AM

Anyone who makes movie choices based on reviews on GFY is an idiot. Sorry to say.
I don't go to McDonalds to taste fine wine and I don't come to GFY for logical unbiased opinions.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it was too long and as for Bale's voice.. yeah, it was VERY irritiating when he spoke as Batman.

At least we got a sweet teaser trailer for Watchmen before the movie though :winkwink: Can't wait to see what they do with that awesome (groundbreaking) graphic novel :2 cents: (comes out in March next year, so not too long to wait!!)

Ravage 08-07-2008 10:00 AM

My only real complaint was that it was a bit on the long side; and yes, Bale needs a better Batman voice.

I actually like the way they portrayed the Joker this time, and sort of going back to his roots. I think its gotten lost over the years as too how much of a diabolical genius the Joker always has been.

Majorly overrated movie.

I bursted out in laughter when I heard the batman voice for the first time. It was ridiculous.

Horny Alf 08-07-2008 10:56 AM

For everyone complaining about his voice..how would you suggest Batman talk? in his normal voice?? Well then what if someone recognizes that voice as being familiar, as belonging to Bruce Wayne. His Batman voice has to be over the top to not only scare dudes but protect his identity

And you know you fuckers would be scared if that voice was growlin at you in a dark alley..

MrKinkade 08-07-2008 11:03 AM

I'll have too agree with the voice issue its horrible... however with the joker issue I believe thats the way the Joker WAS SUPPOSE to be when he first was wrote inn the first issue of batman we was a insane character who killed people for no reason at all... and developed the look from the Joker card in the playing cards... in other accounts ( like ceaser romero's ) they made him a practical joker ( especially when he was with the riddler) this is the way the joker was suppose to be... Heath's joker is by far the absolute best joker I have seen as of yet

peedy 08-07-2008 02:22 PM

Apparently not many people agree, because its breaking box office records everyday it seems. Projected to make over 500 Million by the time its done. It has already done 400+ in 18 days.
