That has got to be the dummest looking hair style since the mullet.

ADL Colin 08-06-2008 01:47 PM

Where's Anthony when you need him? ;)

pornguy 08-06-2008 02:28 PM

We do that to my son sometimes. He looks so cute like that.

CurrentlySober 08-06-2008 02:37 PM

ANY sort of MOHAWK is just Stuuuupppiiiddd.......................

Especially RED...

munki 08-06-2008 02:41 PM

It's going down as this generation's mullet.

If your gonna go hawk... don't be a pussy.

MattO 08-06-2008 02:55 PM

What's really bad is back in the 80's when they'd have to get someone to play the part of a punk in a movie, they'd just get someone with semi-long hair, paste it up into a fin and spray paint it.

Nothing looked as stupid as 12" high spikes that start right at the ear, slope over the skull then shoot straight up.

If you don't have the movie budget to pay someone to actually cut a mohawk, don't fucking bother.

BV 08-06-2008 03:22 PM

i saw a dude today that had a mohawk on his motorcycle helment with full body armor

Ive seen a number of those lately. I sport the faux sometimes, but its really the way my hair goes the best. lol

Brad Gosse 08-06-2008 03:47 PM

Oh man I just got a faux hawk and now it's not cool :(

farkedup 08-06-2008 03:54 PM

I've gone with the 3-5" long hair mouse it while DRIPPING wet and shake my head all over the place then apply hair spray... leaves spikes in EVERY possible direction. I've done that for about 5-7 years now and before that it was rather short hair with gel just straight forward but not really with lines... dating back to George Clooney in his ER days if you want to know what I"m talking about ;)

JamesK 08-06-2008 03:56 PM

Why would you give a fuck? Everyone has his own style.

Spunky 08-06-2008 04:02 PM

I blame that hippity hop mumbo jumbo

Lace 08-06-2008 04:11 PM

I just shaved mine into a mohawk... :1orglaugh

Stellar 08-06-2008 04:19 PM

There is something extremely disturbing about that picture.

minddust 08-06-2008 04:20 PM

I do the same thing with my pubic hairs, do I have to bother anyone with that shit? eh? EH???

chelo - adultcopywriters 08-06-2008 04:55 PM

I agree, it's a pretty silly haircut, but what the heck, let them be! :)

Beanz 08-06-2008 05:01 PM

I have a faux-hawk, but I am trying to grow my hair out from a previous cut to one length before I go to the full hawk (right now the back isn't as long as the rest)

snaker 08-06-2008 05:03 PM

the only reason i wear one if cuz my hair is thinning lol

ItalianVixen 08-06-2008 05:42 PM

They are for guys who want to look punk, but when daddy comes home and beats them over the head with a baseball bat because they look like retards, they can go back to normal :)

wyldblyss 08-06-2008 05:49 PM

LOL this thread made me laugh. My son has had 10 different hair styles. With his hair type, every one of them sucked and looked awful. When he was getting his hair cut a few months ago the chick asked my son what he wanted and he said "it doesn't matter, it always looks like shit"

She stood back looked at him and went to work and he ended up with a faux-hawk. It looks amazing and he constantly has chicks coming up to him and saying how much they love his hair.

I would have called it stupid before, but it actually suits my son and it is "working" for him haha.

Nicely said.

The first time I ever saw a faux hawk was probably 20 years before it ever became "a style".... sometimes one of my drinking buddies or myself would wake up with a bad case of what we used to call rooster head. We knew it looked stupid though, a guy wouldn't go out in public sportin' rooster head. You'd have been laughed out of existance back then for looking so stupid.

Then lo and behold all these years later and all these young'uns are traipsing around with whadya know.... rooster heads.

Life sure is full of idiocy. I mean surprises. :D

TubeTitans_SusieQ 08-07-2008 12:06 PM

agree with you, in the same vein, another thing that saw a bunch of last year was guys wearing toques indoors and not in -20 weather either, pretty funny :D

I think I need more than a beating to make me "normal."

skin tight ed hardy t-shirt + faux hawk + plus fake diamond watch = South Tampa

Evil E 08-07-2008 01:32 PM

Faux Hawks are not that bad, and I have some sometimes.

It's good for people who have a day job in a office and want a more edgier look on the week-ends/nights. Also good to have different hair styles.. you can do the hawk but you can also do other styles like spiky and stuff.

Kinda like the mullet was business in the front, party in the back. AH AH :)

xxxdesign-net 08-07-2008 03:07 PM

Faux-hawks are just another metro sexual hair style... theres plenty worst... lol

I went to the Laval shopping center near Montreal.. I havent been there since last year... and now every 14-22 yo and their father has the metrosexual look... The attention to details is remarkable.. Everything from head to toe is either designer "looking" clothing or known metrosexual brands... even the belt wich is often white with an oversized belt buckle... Theyll most of the time have white shoes... heavy tan, muscled upper body, fancy haircut... often with highlights... The funniest part is alot of them dont know how to match things up and just end up looking like theyre trying way too hard...

Wouldn't a fellow metrosexual be the only one to know that though? :1orglaugh

Btw, didn't the term metrosexual go the way of the dinosaur back in like 2006? I'm sure I heard something...

nah, someone with a sense of style isnt necessarily a raging metrosexual ;) And it doesnt take a fashion expert to see that some of them are disasters...

Or whatever you want to call them... But whatever the name, its stronger than ever lol

GrouchyAdmin 08-07-2008 03:21 PM

What do you call the faux-hawk pointing towards the front? I always just called them 'douchebag windflaps'. Is there an actual term for that?

I promise you I don't have a faux hawk.

But that would be a hoot laugh riot if I did, wouldn't it.

96ukssob 08-07-2008 03:26 PM

I was just going to say, if you look like the average webmaster, then a faux hawk would most likely be an improvement ( if you even have hair, so many webmasters are kicking the Friar Tuck )

Having rooster head (aka: faux hawk) is never an improvement, trust me.

I could rock a rooster cut and probably pick up more chicks than you

Why not post up a picture of yourself? I mean, you are probably a beacon of fashion, tres chic all day and all night long!

Last year I was rocking my rooster cut and I pulled in the ladies, I switched to a messy, textured cut and I did notice an increase in the number of women checking me out. Maybe the rooster cut wasn't working as well as I thought, but I certainly think the faux hawk does work pretty well. It's certainly better than the webmaster comb-over or the net nerd Friar Tuck baldness denial look.

I can't trust someone on a fashion/style issue when I have no idea if they have any fashion or style of their own

Forgive me, it's just that with webmasters, you'll find club parties where people wear blue jeans, white-but-dirty running shoes, a $5 shirt, and unshaven with comb-overs while making 100k+ a year

potter 08-07-2008 09:30 PM

i had one when i first began to grow out my hawk. once it was long enough though i cut it to a full hawk. it was the worst four months ever, seriously that shit was so gay
