humbling when you lose that shit, makes you realize how it musta sucked living before electricity!

Well, the difference being that prior to becoming dependent on electricity you did not have to worry about things like getting water out of the well with an electric pump.

If I had a bucket, I would have used it. We just get spoiled being able to store foods for long term. I know it was easier to go without electricity when I had fewer electrical items.

Then good to know it was back! :)

I get bored very quickly when we have a power cut here...

We had a power outage a few years back for about 12 hours. Okay I learned everything I wanted to do required electricity. EVERYTHING.

Grab yourself a few UPS's, a couple hundred in these toys go a long ways. They can last days/weeks if you use them wisely. You can watch tv, keep a small cooler cold, recharge portable players and laptops, plug it in and run a water pump, run a fan, ect.

We have used ours to power our fridge, to give you an idea.

We get these once in a while, that's why I have candles and lighters in every room in my house and a couple of battery operated radios :-)

That doesn't make the well work.
