Lady sold everything including her house to clone a dog
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080805/...orea_clones_dc
I love my dog too, but when he passes on that's it. She said one day I hope everyone can afford to have their beloved pets cloned. She sold her Home, so she couldn't afford it! What an Idiot!!!! |
That dog must have had a wicked tongue.

I liked the name of the scientist the best !
Hwang Woo-Suk :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
Women should not be allowed to own money.
|
Damn and I thought stuffing your dead pet was disturbing..
Is she going to name him the same? I don't understand how the dog can be the same... Did they inseminate the same female dog? What a sham. |

even if its a perfect clone, it wont be the same dog. Life experiences make what a animal is.

hasn't that lady ever seen the movie Godsend

I think this is a GREAT story...
...while I wouldn't sell everything I own to clone my pet, I certainly understand her desire to do what she did. And now look at how happy her money has made her. Also, hats-off to "disgraced" scientist Hwang Woo-suk. He's probably only "disgraced" because a bunch of religious nut jobs who can't see the truth if they were punched in the face with it, complained loudly enough and used pseudo science and other creationist CRAP to sway government leaders and other decision makers into their (false) way of thinking. The future is in clones, cloning body parts, and stem cell research. Good job, "disgraced" scientist Hwang Woo-suk! May you get your Hwang Suk'ed lots! WOO(t)! |
wow that was amazing
she really love her dog:):):) |
Why people think clone dog will be same one they have, it's just copy of body (that don't to be perfect in any way), not "mind" ...
PS - I don't have nothing against cloning |
I love mine so much but that just isn't right.

She could have got free puppies from the newspaper:thumbsup |
Its never going to be the same dog.

Its cool and all, but she is sick in the head if she thinks that. THEY STILL DIE! what a crazy idiot. |

Someone should smack the hell out of *her* with a rolled up newspaper. |
"After rescuing him from a shelter 12 years ago, Booger had become an indispensable part of her life, said the 57-year-old Californian."
Well, why not go back to the shelter and rescue another dog that desperately needs a home rather than going broke to bring 5 more dogs into this world. |

These dogs will look like the Original = So what!? They may even act the same at times so what???? I have no doubt she could have pickup any new puppy and found just as much happiness. No matter what her dog, companion and friend is Dead and cloning has done nothing to change that fact.:error |
I wonder if she has children....would she do that for a son or a daughter???

its called the master plan
you get rid of your shit, then clone your dog and when done, clone your house |
I remember some movie where a guy had perfected cloning, and offered to clone someone's recently deceased partner... the catch is that she would start as an embryo so there would be some time to wait before she was an adult, and there would always be that physical age difference. Kinda creepy that "dad" is waiting until you grow up enough for that "special" day. :helpme

She'll do alright, peanut butter is pretty cheap these days.
|
This lady is crazier then that. Turns out she was on the run for kidnapping and raping some Mormon guy. She denied it at first but turns out she couldn't hide it.

Not only did she sell everything to clone her dog, but she put herself in the spotlight. Not a smart thing when she is a wanted woman.

$50,000 could help a lot of animals in shelters/ rescue organizations, the same place she got her beloved "Booger."

Someday I hope they will perfect human cloning with the ability to transfer the mind and memory from the original brain into the clone.
I look forward to the day when I am 65 years old and can have my memories and mind uploaded into the brain of my 21 year old clone. :1orglaugh The only drawback of course would be that I'd have to repeat this process every few decades. :1orglaugh |
What these wackjobs fail to realize that if you were to die, your dog wouldn't be lining up to get another one of you cloned...
But that's logic for ya... |
fucking crazy woman
