How much time do you spend on updating your site with content

I'm running a site with nude galleries, free content from a few affiliates. I grab the content for my site from e-mails (affiliates), online affiliate script (where they provide, banners, links, and promotional content).

Now I'm asking you: what type of site do you have and how you grab your content? It is a tedious and boring job for you, because for my it is... How much time do you spend per week in keeping your site up? And hopefully we shall find some solutions to this problems :thumbsup

I'm thinking about starting a site similar to that. I write all my own custom stuff so I can build whatever I need.

What aspects do you find you spend the most time on?

I spend much of my time on finding affiliates with quality content or searching for good content from affiliates that I have already subscribed to. I think that the hardest and longest activity is making your site more popular, trade links, make it friendly for seo... getting more traffic.

A list by time consumed should be something similar to:

1. Making more traffic (trade links, SEO)
2. Finding good quality content and posting it to site
3. Thinking of new and original ways of updating your site.

For the second point, a solution should be in making it more automatic, a script that logs in and fetches all the relevant content from affiliates and then lets you choose the galleries/videos that suits you best. That script should be made individual for a specific affiliate since almost all affiliates have a different interface for providing the promotional content.

It depends on how much time I have. When I do a quick update I check my mail grab some content and be done in 20min. Sometimes I want to alter certain things and try out new stuf. If thats the case I can be wroking on an update for hours..

I use only auto update. No time needed.

And you really get good content in that way? I was thinking you need to select your content carefully, filter it to get your traffic to return...

Way too much. You can count at least 5 hours a week up to 10.
Writing good content for the visitors takes time, and translating it too.
For the rest, the RSS feeds are the best invention ever :D

As for me it takes a lot of time to review submitted galleries, adding new FHGs, corp thumbs, sort galleries according categories etc...
The problem is that the amount of galleries is growing day by day. New submitters and new FHG updates..., new sponsors....
Now I have in pending about 3000 galleries waiting for approval.
I think the only way to solve the problem is to hire someone to make updates on regular bases.

I'm spend about 7 hours per week to my paysites. About 6 ½ hour to search and buy the content, then about 30 minutes to add it.
