Hm I would assume this is from your rental. Figure if your in the US you would get 30 days notice though.

to the op we can assume your talking about the rental company? I know its not alot of time but here they only have to give you 2 weeks :(

That's fucked up, I was renting a house in Denmark from a real idiot, he stopped by the house a couple of times per month to tell me to do this and that, wanted part of the rent paid in cash and the rest to his bank account, eventually I told him to get lost and not come there again unless he had a real reason for it.
Then the idiot tried to kick me out for lots of bullshit reasons (running a company in a non commercial zone, house was sold etc), the final result was that he could be fined for harassment if he enterred the property without a 3 day written notice, no partial cash payment of the rent and I filled the full rent on my tax returns including the cash payments. I think that he didn't like me when I moved out 6 months later :1orglaugh

Im renting my apartment from a friend of my mum. And now their son wants it so I have to move and just got almost a month to do it! wtf . :(

I know in some areas, if you have children, they have to give you up to 90 days. I used to live in a rental and they evicted a girl with like 5-6 kids and she went to court and they told them they have to give her 90 days because she had kids and a residence that size wasn't cheap or easy to find, so they gave her 90 days.

In MOST areas, it is a standard 30 days, 24 days seems like an odd number of days unless it's a rental and they sold the place from under you, which I have seen before.

That's really fucked up dude. :mad: but with that I think you need to pack up now.
sad, but they should have some considerations. Ask them to give you a month or 2 of preparation and to look for a place to move in.
