    Graphics People At Internext?

Any graphics and design people gonna be in Fla? I need someone who can make things for me and can work with me building a new site. Meaning talking back and forth, tweaking, etc. Need somebody that can do graphics and can use compliant code. My preference is to use tables with css

Don't want a bunch of cut up images either (slices). That's just so unneccessary in the broadband age.

Anyway, if anyone with skills is gonna be in Fla. I arrive on the 7th and fly out the 11th. Talk to me.

No slicing? How does that work exactly? I didn't realize you could do that... and even if you can, why ignore dial up users?

Dial up users wouldn't even be able to watch the vids, so they aren't my target. And number 2, slices aren't very SEO friendly. I prefer whole iimages that can be given proper alt tags that can make sense to the viewer (and search engine bots) Kinda hard to give a descriptive tag to a slice that contains a half inch of a knee cap and half a piece of a background image. lol

Just makes real shit code and isn't helpful in any way. Used to be ok to do back in 1998. But I don't like it now. So I prefer not to use it.

No, I have an employee that has worked for me for almost 10 years. We talk everyday for hours on the phone and via icq working. I've never actually met him physically. But we're as close as any 2 people working.

I am failing to see your search engine stance. You would rather have one image that you can tag instead of 50 images?

You build 'em your way Sly. I'll do what works for me.

For me, if you have a slice that looks like nothing...you can't write a real description for it. I prefer to write creative descriptive alt tags. The FEWER the better. I don't think that having 50 slices with alt tags for a page that may need up to 5 of pretty much the same image with a couple of changes for different updates is gonna be very helpful at all. Especially when I focus directly on one niche. For instance, I don't have 50 ways to say "big tits" and if I had 5 "episodes" on a tour page that would mean 250 unique ways to say "big tits" just for that page. Not for me. I'd rather use a lot of text on the page along with the usual title and metatags. I'm finding less is more. But that's neither here nor there.

I just want to find someone who can work with me on a few projects I need to get moving here with.

                                No shit.

I am about to start kicking some programmer and designer asses. I am convinced most only work when they need money for drugs, or next XBox game, ...get a big project completed, and then go on holiday.

Almost every other project I have to find new one's because their work drops off, or they blow deadlines by a mile. Whether you pay them like a king, or a Paki peasant doesnt matter. They do the same shit.

There's some good guys out there barefootsies. Same problem with any talented person though...the good ones are all working for people. And you guard 'em like a jealous husband. So it's hard to find a good one when you need one. Has to be a case of timing I guess. So I'm just throwing it out there just in case somebody will be there that could use some work.
