When ya have raised chickens for awhile you soon understand you do not need to keep the cocks as they do not produce eggs so they get their necks broke and butchered. By the way in culinary terms a young male chicken (cock) is called a Capon and are in high demand. Though I never went so far as to castrate them and let them go to full maturity.
