If you do have something in your folder, look for the file name of "Bookmarks.html" in the list. Your lost bookmarks should be there, but again, there are no promises. It just depends on how long it's been since you've lost your bookmarks, etc. That's just how Firefox works.

Just use the FF addon Foxmarks that will always keep your bookmarks on its server so you'll never lose them.

sux, i always make a bookmarks backup before a new install or update just incase...

Choose the "Bookmarks" menu and click on "Organize Bookmarks" to bring up the "Bookmarks Manager" in a separate window.

Select the "File" menu from the "Bookmarks Manager," and click "Export" to open the "Export Bookmark File" dialog box.

Use the "Save in" drop-down list and select the folder to which you would like to save the backup copy of your bookmarks.

Click the "Save" button to close the "Export Bookmark File" dialog box and save the bookmarks as an .html file in the location you have chosen.

To restore your bookmarks, choose the "File" menu and select "Import" to open the "Import Wizard." Select to import "From File" and choose the .html file that you exported the bookmarks into to import.

dude, i'm glad you posted that. mine were deleted as well and i thought i was going crazy! seriously, i thought maybe my memory is just getting really really bad. ahaha...it's good to know
