how long after you stop using a host can you expect to be billed?
 

do they just get to keep billing you again and again?
even when you cancel?

does this seem like a normal practice? now i know why chargebacks exist

Sounds like AdultEUHost. I still get email from them for a client I had one setup job for back in '06. They stopped sending me the bills, though.

always answered support emails in a condescending tone

its fuckin crazy...they were never able to fix one thing for me.

and even though i cancelled and moved all my stuff off of them this month

and sent them notification of my intent...low and behold they charged me again

I know two hosts from personal experience that do this. It's funny, actually one of my domain registrars is doing the same. Fuck 'em :)
