Unfulfilled domain plans: Are you your own victim?
 

Okay, so you got a shitload of domain names that were really good at the time you registered them.... you had all kinds of ideas running through your head for each one of them. So now your notice comes that a few of them are about to expire and you realize you still haven't done anything with them.

Do you let them go? Or do you trick yourself into thinking, "Ahhh fuck it. I'll renew these and then I'll really do something with them this time!" and in no time at all they are right back on the back burner collecting dust again....

Im sorta in that position at times. I have 350 domains and some I have done nothing with. My general rule is if it at least has some resale value then its worth paying the 10 buck renewal fee.

I didn't renew a shit pot of domain's. but was doing what you say for 2 years. I kept one other than one's in use. A gay one that I most likly will never put in use myself. 2 good to let go.

I got one of those e0mails today too... I let it expire, cuz I figure if I can go a year without thinking about it then it isn't really worth it to keep... I guess... shit, now I'm starting to think I shoulda just renewed it.... ah well, back to not thinking about it... ahh better already. lol

btw it was not a bad name IMO, lustyfriends.com (fuck I shoulda renewed)

I'm really bad for that. Fuck, I'll spend a lot of money on each domain thinking I have a great plan, only to just let the idea slip away and move onto something else.

I have a few like that but really this thread should be about the next Fletch sig update. What will it be? perhaps a picture of your dog? Perhaps a picture of the street? Sky? Whatever it is I'm sure it will be high resolution and interesting.

I just let a few expire, but it made me run through the list of 18 or 20 names I own and decide whether I realisically would ever do anything with the ones that were expiring. I still have a few I think are really good, but I'll only be able to do anything with them with someone else collaborating (to do the design and updating). These would be: creamofteen.com, coedsinheat.com, kinkyphotography.com, and openposes.com.
