John Turner is a former IRS Revenue Officer and discusses how he went from being a happy IRS employee busy collecting taxes from delinquent taxpayers to understanding that he didn't really have the authority under the law that he was told he had as a Revenue Officer trainee and how he came to know that the tax code is being mis-applied. Here's a former IRS agent who says that if you live and work in the United States at a regular job, the 1040 income tax doesn't apply to you.

yeah... I believe that technically the IRS is not even a government agency.

I had a friend years ago whos dad (who owned a million + biz) was doing the whole anti-IRS thing. He had some group of a bunch of lawyers behind him and used to preach about how the income tax amendment was fraudulently imposed and how the IRS is technically not a part of the US gov. He gave me some audio tape that I wish I still had now.

Needless to say he also had IRS agents literally at his door every month or so. Verbal threats such as "we will get you for all you are worth" and everything just short of strangulation went on. :1orglaugh

Ya, all your friends dad has to ask the irs agent for his "Pocket Commission". They will then have to leave because they will not be able to produce an enforcement Pocket commission. Every irs agent is given a pocket commission, the funny part if that all revenue agents are give a "non-inforcment Pocket Commission".

The problem is that no one every challenges the authority of an irs employee.

Irs agents are only give authority to collect taxes with respect to Liquor, Tobacco, and firearms. (irc 26 sect. 7608).

I watched a good chunk of that video and the jist basically seems to be , theres no law requiring you to pay taxes.

The problem seems to be if you dont, the irs will do everything to make your life a living hell.

So it seems its better to just pay them, rather then risk going to prision on tax evasion charges.

I quit paying taxes...that's why I only post during prison library time.
