Old Family Photo I Cleaned up [Surprisingly Hot PIC]

I fell in love with this photo of my great-great aunt, and knew it needed some Photoshop lubbins...

http://promo.topchoicecash.com/files/2/edithduo4.jpg

I don't have an exact date for this picture, it's estimated to be around the mid 20's. She was an extra for Warner Brother's Studio in LA, and of course, an aspiring actress. She died of a drug overdose at the age of 26 (so Hollywood), probably not long after this picture was taken.

RevengeBucks_Monica 07-30-2008 02:58 PM

She's very pretty! I love vintage photographs.

Beautiful vintage shot. Those pics are so timeless and you did a great job on the restoration. Really sad to hear she died so tragically in her prime.

nice work :)

stickyfingerz 07-30-2008 06:27 PM

I did a touchup to the pic on the left and left it look more like the original. Didnt want to post it, but I hit munki up on aim about it. Email me or icq me, or have Munki hit me up if you want it. Kind of a hobby of mine to do touchups on old pics like that. Or if you want I can post it. Either way. :winkwink:

Delicate and radiant are just a couple words that come to mind when admiring her pic.

Should be framed and hung in a home library.

Miss Munki 07-30-2008 10:20 PM

Thanks for the compliments everyone:)

Oh thnx dude:thumbsup Munki just showed the images. I've had a lot of fun with 200+ old family photos, and now I've become very passionate about restoring images, a bit of a hobby for myself too. I loved the original sepia tone, I just had very few other family photos that color, and decided to keep it all B&W fluent for a family photo album project I put together.:):):)

Violetta 07-30-2008 10:26 PM

nice pic, and a good ps job!

I haven't gotten around to it, but I've always wanted to shoot the still-existing locations in family photos from the same exact angle and then paste the B&W people into the new photo.

For this one you could do them and the car.

I've been working with the LB historic society to have the building qualified as a historic location, it's a really cool building! But yeah, I've been planning to recreate this pic with Munki for quite a while, but I can't seem to get him into a sailer cap, lol. I think his mohawk would be an interesting modern contrast:thumbsup
