The Atlanta Forum Announces a New Beginning for Trade Show Seminars!! Schedule Inside
From http://www.xbiz.com/news/97182
The Atlanta Forum Announces Special Seminar Lineup for September Show XBIZ to sponsor new and improved seminar structure Atlanta, Georgia ? The Atlanta Forum today announced the seminar lineup for the inaugural 2008 Atlanta Forum. Presented by NationalNet, the adult webmaster trade show will be held at the W Hotel Perimeter Center in Atlanta, September 18-20. Organizers stress that the Forum seminars, which are sponsored by XBIZ, will mark the beginning of a new trend in webmaster show seminars, and signal the end of hungover webmasters teaching attendees just enough to get by without truly giving away the secrets of their success. ?It seems that seminars are just a side-show at most of the adult webmaster shows throughout the year and we wanted to be different," The Atlanta Forum CEO Tony Morgan said. "To that end, we have contracted with Fred Pryor Seminars, the pioneer of outsourced corporate training, to come into the forum with their own trainers and educate our attendees on more business-centric topics. "Fred Pryor Seminars has presented more than 1,000 topics to over 8 million business people throughout the world for almost 40 years. Their cutting-edge research and course development are designed to meet the needs of our employees, our organizations, and our industry," Morgan added. The seminars, complete with work books and study materials, will be moderated by XBIZ staff. ?When we first discussed with Tony the idea of taking a unique approach to the seminars, I knew that XBIZ would be closely involved,? XBIZ President Alec Helmy said. ?Like The Atlanta Forum, XBIZ is on a continual mission to push the adult industry toward new standards and these seminars are a step in that same direction.? Seminars will be broken down into two categories based on the target audience. One set of sessions will target owners and managers within the industry and the other will target sales and webmasters. All attendees will be allowed to take part in either set of sessions. The owners and managers sessions will include topics such as ?The Art of Leadership? and ?Criticism & Discipline Skills for Managers,? while the sales and webmasters sessions will include ?Guerrilla Selling? and ?How to Bargain and Negotiate with Vendors and Suppliers." 1st CLASS! This is fast becoming the most anticipated show of the year and for once Lady Luck is on my side with it being right here in my hometown. :) Thanks for all the time and effort you are putting in Tony. The industry thanks you :thumbsup _ |
This show is truly going to ROCK. Aside from all the fun activities, and parties that are going to be held. The theme of the show "The business of the business" is by far is going to be the best part of this show. I can't wait!

Looking forward to this of course.... it going to be a long week and a half...Atlanta then Europe.... kill me when its over..... hahahaha.. at least i can sleep on the planes.
Tony - you are putting together what will be a must attend event. There are about 5-7 of them. Using mainstream experts is great as most of this industry has seen the same seminar 30 X over.... save a few exceptions..... just remember what I told you today, that will make it perfect. Proud to be a Media sponsor - and cant wait to see what you have in store for my show... Cheers |

I'd like to see the seminars happen STARTING in the afternoon around 2 p.m.
That way we can all attend the big parties at night. Get some sleep, eat some lunch. Let it digest and then catch the first seminar fresh and alert. The way it is now and has always been...you either opt out of the day OR night. And if you do both...you're sleep deprived the whole time. |
seems like this is going to be a "must attend" kind of show
I'll start getting all my people lined up! |

Hey Robbie.... I know, more than you think, how hard it is. I have been doing it for 10 years. Trust me, I get ya! This is what I have learned....the first seminar is at 11am, so wake up at 10:30 and just run some water over your head, throw on some shorts and a tee shirt and be downstairs in 25 minutes. After the seminars, hit the show area/lobby area/courtyard/pool or where ever people are gathering and start networking. Spend the afternoon making friends and money. At about 5pm head up to the room and take a 1-2 hr nap, get up, shower, get dressed up and head to dinner and the parties. At 2am start to think about leaving but make sure you are GONE by 3am (no, Robbie, you are NOT doing any REAL business after 3am...heheheh) so you get to sleep from 3am-10:30 and throw in your nap you are looking at close to 9 hours of sleep!! Then you can be like me with everyone coming over to you and going "How do you do it?". People are shocked when I tell them I have not done coke in over 20 years...they always assume that the only way I could be up at night AND in the morning is if I am snorting coke...and the reality is that when they start, I head out and go to bed. Maybe I should write a book about hot to survive a trade show, huh? ;) --T |
Sounds fantastic :)
|
Good advice T :) I still remember your incredible pimp outfit at the Players Ball 10 years ago in Miami That was back in the day when we all did the complete pimps and hoes deal. And you were major pimpin'
|
Definitely something with substance that will appeal to a diverse audience - I think we'll be seeing more people coming out to this show.
Good move :) |
sounds good

Bringing Business Sense back into the Biz... You're the man Tony ;-)

You know I have to admit ? I stay away from most shows because of the drunk webmaster no real business atmosphere style to them. When I attend SES each year as well as many other conferences the difference between them and these adult shows are like night and day.
Up until now these shows were pretty much just a brofest of look at me hey dude I dont have any friends lets hang out and pat each other on the back at a show ?.. Well as a person who attends conferences for the sole purpose of business and knowledge I look forward to Atlanta forum. You know the funny thing is when I met you in Tampa ( club prana with that huge security guy with you ) I walked away the opinion thinking you seemed like a really smart fella ?this is just more proff that I am almost always right See you all there |
this show is going to be great, look for the final golf announcements and sign up form this week!!
