[help] Apple IPhone or Samsung Instinct ?

'Ma Bell "Mobility" just called me cause my contract is coming to an end... So :

"blah blah blah... We offer you that package... blah blah blah..."

"Yes But I want an Iphone.. And its only available with Rogers... blah blah..."

"Oh you then can have the new Samsung Instinct... blah blah blah..."

"Yes but I want an IPHONE..."

"The Samsung is better... blah blah blah..."

So is there someone here who got the Instinct.. Is it better, the very same ?

I'd need to renew my contract for 3 years...

this one was funny... but what about 3rd party applications on samsung?

The Instinct doesn't even compete. I had one for a few days and returned it and picked up an HTC Touch (Vogue). Once the new Touch Diamond is released, I'll upgrade to that.

The Instinct is very limited in what you can do. There's no additional applications like you can get on Windows Mobile, Palm or iPhone.

I returned my Instinct. Solid phone totally hindered by awful software and connection problems with Sprint. If you are on another network some of those issues may be different. It's more of a cool toy than a smartphone.

I would stay away from it if I were you. I never return things but this phone was not what they are advertising.

Samsung Instinct is just a phone, it doesnt have any OS. If you need some browsing and emails with icq you'd go well on any 3g network with it. IPhone is new experience, it can be nice for you, Instinct wont give you anything this new.

iPhone 3G

First let me say i hate AT&T. They are in my opinion the worst company in the world to deal with, their service is shit and their cell network is full of holes dropped calls and lost voicemails.. Saying that i just switched back to them after two years with Verizon.

Why did i do such a stupid thing ? One reason the iPhone, it is without doubt the best phone made for my use. I use all Mac computers and connecting to them with other phones was a nightmare. I can use the 3G in Europe and the navigation system is so useful for me as i have the sense of direction of a scud missile :1orglaugh

I did try a cracked ( unlocked ) iPhone on Verizon but for some reason it didnt work well dropping calls all the time.

I just wish Steve Jobs had chosen Verizon in place of AT&T for their carriers ?

Bell Mobility sucks balls.

Drop your account with them and go with Rogers..

Or use it as leverage to get more bonus minutes or features on your account with Bell...

I think that video was comparing the Instinct to the original (non-3G) iPhone. Not that it matters, it wasn't meant to be an accurate review and comparison in the first place.

I have the Instinct, and I like it... but I also HATE AT&T.

PLayed with an Instinct yesterday. Very fast internet connection on that thing. GPS navigation was a plus. Streaming video also a plus.
