Beware another bullshit patent is coming our way...
We got served with papers from this company that has a patent on information processing methodology. The patent covers methods and systems for extracting information from electronic documents and the transmission of the external information to an application program. I remember Arcadia and got their papers long ago and never paid them, I threw them in the toliet and shit on them. Some people freaked out and paid them and look where they are now, nowhere. I can't believe the stupid fucks that actually paid them. The letter from Arcadia didn't even come certified so they couldn't even prove you got the letter lol. This company NOBODY should pay because it is fucking ridiculous. They are claiming they have a patent on something that has been around way before this patent. This happens a lot and I just want to fucking slap the patent office. Their patent was processed in 2004.
Thanks, Mark |
Just to clarify it was Acacia and not Arcadia.
Yup some companies paid, and yup some other company ('s) decided to turn over their webmaster lists containing personal data that at the time people swore they would never forgive. PS. I am sure ya know legal threats can be sent regular mail. They are just threats at that point in time. If and when they want to get serious the methods will change. PPS. Also wish more would of gave to those that fought. |

Even though I know they won't get a fucking cent, these kind of people really piss me the fuck off.

Fucking amazing. Imagine if IBM came back to them and asked to be paid for the use of the PC.

I wasn't there during the Acacia fiasco, can someone please tell me who gave the webmaster list? and why did they do that?
In the mainstream, SCO is well known for only being a company that had patents and lawyers. They only made their money from suing people. Eventually they filed chapter 11. |
Man, Acacia had to have spent tons of money on that packet they sent out. I burnt mine then pissed out the fire.

Not sure if all three of the companies that you listed betrayed their webmasters though? |

I am currently seeking to get a patent on the mechanics of inhaling air, removing the oxygen from it and expelling the byproduct.
I am going to send a cease and desist to every human being alive and tell them to pay up! Animals too, they can work for the cash in a circus and such :1orglaugh |

Bottom line: The judge laid the hammer down on these shysters, hard. The court found the claim was frivolous, and Eon-Net ended up having to pay the defendants attorney's fees and costs, and they were required to notify all other defendants accused of '697 patent infringement of that ruling. |
Gee, I wonder why they're not going after the big boys. Hmm, let me think about that for a minute...yup, the big boys have legal help. They are trying to take advantage where they can...and the little guys you can push around are it. :2 cents:
