Ask one of the 50 celebrity sites here on GFY with 100% STOLEN CONTENT how they do it. Flat out stealing photos and videos from magazines and tv shows and using them as their own.

wel theres millions of sites, gfy also has tons of threads that hotlink pics from sources..

the point is i have lots of these type of sites where the sites have LINKCODES to an affiliate so those pics were from content areas

but this site is more of celeb, so none of the pics are promo areas..but NO PICS are NUDE either.....but because of the request i will take down teh thumbnail pics..but do i have to remove my original content?

They are saying i cannot use the celebs name in my blog...thats BS rite

Do you think that just because a photo or video is on the internet it has no owner? If you have photos you made of Jenna from a convention or something like that then you are free to use them how you will. From there it's a different story whether the text or context of the site would cause any legal issues.

That seems a bit of the pain in the ass

It's call right of publicity and your URL breaks the 1st no no. You never, I repeat never can use the stars name in a URL, keyword etc...etc...

They will come after you every time and win:thumbsup

d-null 07-27-2008 09:01 PM

can't they go to icann and take the domain away from you as well?

personally I wouldn't want the hassle of a lawsuit either :2 cents:

d-null 07-27-2008 09:06 PM

that reminds me, I saw allisonstokke.com for sale at auction a month or so back and the price wasn't even that high.... I thought about bidding but with the potential hassles I didn't bother

if you were doing nothing but promoting her content, and didn't claim to be an official site or anything then you'd be ok.

Wrong, they can still go after you if they choose to do so...

Some will...some won't. The bigger the star the more likely they are to be on your ass:thumbsup
