Wow, the EBAY affiliate program kicks ass !!

All I did was use my affiliate link to send people to look at the Golden Tee Machine I was already selling on E-Bay ... over the last 3 days I sent a total of 676 raw clicks and earned $55.33 off of them. Normally I would of just sent directly to my regular link, that's pretty sweet.. I think I might work on pushing them, so much to do with them it's not even funny.

themachinelavene 07-27-2008 06:06 PM

ya I'm lovin ebay partner network lately...it was bumpy in the beginning but much better now

Mr Pheer 07-27-2008 06:09 PM

DBS.US 07-27-2008 06:10 PM

How is Ebay making money that way?

Matt 26z 07-27-2008 06:21 PM

The ebay affiliate program took a massive shit when they brought the program in-house.

My guess is fees and the long term value of a new member... it is a good program, if you find a way to send traffic to it. Some very interesting ideas in this thread.

fuzebox 07-27-2008 06:59 PM

I always figured it was a tough sell these days, because who the hell doesn't have an ebay account?

I've had two people in the past week ask if they can use my account, LOL.

teentime 07-28-2008 12:26 AM

I've been doing e-Bays aff program a while now.
Have not made one single penny from it.
Total waste of time.

Just my 2 cents.

rml1608 07-28-2008 12:39 AM

Jay Cabi, welcome and thanks for being the ass of the thread. Everyone else was actually being normal till you chimed in - Kudos !! You made sure GFY retained it's reputation, thank you !!

If you were serious, here is the link to the GT machine, Golden Tee Machine it's at like $10.00 nwo or something I think ... maybe les can't remember exactly.

And Jay - I earned $50 for telling people about an auction I was having for an item I was selling on E-Bay where they drive their own traffic to puchase my item as well. I would have to say yeah .. Wow, pretty big deal ... $50 or $5 or $500 ... It's the principal not the amount. Keep thinking big I'll pick up the crumbs all day long brother. We can't all drive $1,000,000 Formula One Super Cards like you do !! BTW, How's the Datsun ?

As far as affiliate referral links go ? Visit This Link For The --> E-Bay Affiliate Program. I'm honestly not sure if I get credit for referrals to it or not, I looked but didn't see anything off hand and I'm too tuckered out to dig deep. Worth a shot though.

To those of you who understand it's pretty cool to earn $50 telling people about something you are selling thanks for posting ... To Jay, grow the hell up, you know what the biggest lesson I have learned is ? The people who brag about how much money they make and put down people for only making $XX.XX are the people struggling themselves to make ends meet or they feel as if they are performing inadaquetely - which is it in your case ? I really do feel sorry for you mate ! :action-sm

Only downer about EPN is 7 day cookies. as far as how ebay can afford it you get a % of the fees from a completed auction...also starting at 35 per signup for a qualified user.

Slappin Fish 07-28-2008 07:05 AM

Ebay is a surprisingly good aff program.
Couple of years back I had to remove adsense from a site because it was getting click bombed. It was only making twenty bucks a day with adsense, so I expected to make no more than a couple of dollars here and there with ebay. After a week I was averaging close to a hundred a day.
I think it might have been 14 day cookies at the time though.

Black_Widow 07-28-2008 07:28 AM

Didn't know they had affiliate program.

dont worry about the haters... cabi is probably just a surfer anyhow and resents anyone who can make a few bucks off of sheep like himself

tranza 07-28-2008 08:23 AM

Where is the link?

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-28-2008 08:31 AM

Jesus F'ing Christ, what a mess!

Either clean up that dump of a garage or at the very least 'shop out the image of the unit!

Not trolling. Just have a difficult time believing people post images like that and expect others to take them seriously.

ROFL... Jay Cabi used to be the owner of Filecabi.net.

For awhile he was the 3rd largest video site on the net and sold out just in time :)

Trust me, he's not a sheep and he's made WAY more than just a few bucks :P

wyldblyss 07-28-2008 08:43 AM

Good thread. For those haters, here is a little piece of wisdom I follow. "Earn as much money as possible from as many sources as possible"

What that means is that $50 from ebay is not going to make you rich, but if you had $50 from ebay a week over 5 years that equals $13,000 more than you would have had if you considered the $50 "too little to bother with".

People that pursue the "as many sources as possible" will also look to make $50 from several other places. So in the end, the people that laugh at the $50 don't notice that the guy making $50 a week from 10 places has an extra $130K in 5 years.

Things add up. Every dollar counts.

I could care less how rich he is, it obviously hasn't made him happy if he has to hate on everyone who was simply bringing something they thought was cool to the board. Also being a sheep has nothing to do with how much money you make. You either follow or lead - period. BTW, I did nothing else and just let the traffic keep rolling in and the new numbers are

"Account SummaryTotal earnings: $148.54 Month to DateLast monthLast 3 monthsYear to Date

Program Impressions Clicks EPC ($) Earnings ($)
Total 0 741 20.05 148.54
eBay US 0 741 20.05 148.54 "

So I made $150 now spending a few hours telling people about a Golden Tee machine I was selling. Still pretty damn cool to me, lol ... That will pay towards my Child Support this month :pimp

As far as the quality of the pictures etc ... I honestly could care less. Cleaning out the garage, taking nice pictures, etc would of taken 3-4 hours easily. Anyone who wants this machine is going to buy it whether it has a bunch of stuff in a garage around it or not. There is a very specific and targetted audience for this sort of thing. I made it clear in my description it has been collecting dust - the pictures just verify that ...

Also, as far as the 7 day cookie - yeah that's right (which sucks with my auctio being 10 days lol) however - I found that people who had existing E-Bay accounts and clicked that link are now earning me commissions. Someone bought a $1500 piece of land with an e-bay account that was prety old, I also got paid on something else they bought I think. Not sure how to figure out what I earned off of it but it said E-Bay's fees were around $100.00 - which I believe ... So, you get credit for re sending people to their site who have older accounts and start becoming active again. That makes it worthwhile in itself.

Interesting stuff ... That's the first time I averages about $50 an hour for work in a while. The current sales job I am doing door to door is earning me about $25 - $30 an hour but it's nowhere near as intriguing or exciting. This sorta opened up the 'making money on-line' doors for me again for the first time in a while. I haven't had that good feeling about an on-line affiliate program in ... well, let's just say a real long time.
