What Are The Biggest Grossing Pay Sites Of All Time?

Would anybody care to discuss the biggest grossing pay sites in history?

Did they come during the days of Ron Levi and JoeE or were they further down on the timeline?

What kind of numbers were they pulling and what were the traffic levels?

I would be interested in hearing any insight or even just speculation on this topic.

Thanks. :thumbsup

shut the fuck up already - GFY already has enough idiots who have no point being here

Cybererotica and KarasXXX have unbreakable records for one day sales totals - over 4,000 joins a day.

all time sales records if you're talking a single paysite - that would be Met-Art I think - maybe Bangbus

CurrentlySober 07-27-2008 12:10 PM

The www.MRBan.com sites

fris 07-27-2008 12:23 PM

ftv has to be one of them

DaddyHalbucks 07-27-2008 12:25 PM

Here are a few possibilities:

Bang Bus

MILF Hunter

Kara's Adult Playground

Cyberotica

Babylon-X

Voyeur Dorm

marketsmart 07-27-2008 12:31 PM

dont forget dating sites...

i think the original question was "sites" not programs...

i know bangbus was doing over $2 mil a month within first 12-24 months..

Nicky 07-27-2008 12:39 PM

Cybererotica
Bangbus
Milfhunter

That would be cool to see some big site owners come in here and post record sales number for a single day.

tony286 07-27-2008 04:14 PM

bangbus would be my guess

Are you speaking of the sites themselves or the programs CE Cash and Max Cash? And where do you get your figures for that?

I've been shown some stats by some friends of mine who run a couple of the biggest programs right now and they are doing crazy ass insane sales per day...but just one site?

Back in 1999 we sent crazy traffic to Kara's from al4a and ampland and it didn't sell. We were promoting the crap out of maxcash back then along with ARS, the other maxcash sites did pretty well. Major Melons made us some money...but Kara's?

Socks 07-27-2008 04:22 PM

either way, met-art started in like '99, so lots of sites had 4 year head starts.. And I think you'd have to make a case for met-art, on a single site basis.

abby winters has been quietly amassing a fortune too, but not all time.. cum fiesta probably up there for last some odd years

KarupsPC probably up there too.. amkingdom

scottybuzz 07-27-2008 05:32 PM

To me in my opinion with a very uneducated guess I would say Milf Hunter.

I was talking with some friends about porn sites and reeled the big ones of like bang bus and my friends hot mom, but then i said milf hunter and each and everyone single one knew about it. and was like "man who hasn't heard of milf hunter".

Ok may not be biggest grossing, but thats the indication I get on most popular porn site and thus could be biggest grossing.

Let's go WAYYYYY back.

There was a point in the mid 90's when Pinkbits.com was the 6th most visited site on the internet.

Jonathan aka J$tylez was at Cybererotica during its heyday -he posted her their record sales day which was over 4K - hmmmmmm not sure if he meant for just Cybererotica or the whole program - there weren't that many sites in the program and Cybererotica was by far their biggest site. KarasXXX from MaxCash had 200,000 members at its peak.

It's definitely Cybererotica and Karas - times were much different then and can't be repeated.

I still wonder about those claims...200,000 members in the mid to late 1990's? In 1999 we had the biggest free site in the world...al4a, the hun was number 2 and we were rockin' a little over 600,000 uniques a day and were definitely a whale and a half in sales to programs back in that day. There just weren't that many people online back then compared to now and 600,000 uniques was HUGE for the time

How the heck would they have had 200,000 members back then? I'm just flabbergasted...back then you couldn't hardly make a sale to karas. Hell, just trying to get through the 50 million circle jerk pop-ups that went back and forth to ARS was enough to stop most anybody dead in their tracks LOL

Those were definitely different times...and a lot easier to make money as an affiliate. But not because the sites were kicking ass...it's just that there were only a very few of us as affiliates back then.

200,000 members? That blows my mind. I would be kinda skeptical of that claim. Especially just for the karas site alone. I could be wrong, but that just don't sound right. The "good old days" weren't exactly what everybody is romanticizing them as.

Plus I had full access to all of Max Cash sites, and pretty much every site on the net...and back then the members areas weren't very good. A bunch of very old z-master pics and some pornholio feeds was all their was on all the sites. Nothing like the nice sites that they have now. I remember looking at the members areas back then in shock wondering why anybody would ever stay...especially with places like WetLands and Karups that had so much better members areas and content at the time.

I have no idea if it's true - I know I've seen Jeff from MaxCash say that Kara's at one time had 200,000 members. MaxCash's heyday came before ARS - a lot of the success of ARS came because MaxCash got slapped down by the FTC and ARS filled the void.
Cybererotica and MaxCash never had really shitty members areas - they filled them up with every leased plugin they could find and licensed content.

Who knows - stories get passed around the industry - I'd always heard that Met-Art had 100,000 members - I wouldn't doubt it.

BV 07-27-2008 10:09 PM

i miss the old days, it was more fun then
this place was more fun
the shows were more fun
everything was more fun

Robbie 07-27-2008 10:43 PM

Mutt, I don't remember it quite that way chronologically as we were making big money with both maxcash and ars at the same time before the big smackdown occurred. Boy that was the talk of the industry for a few months...

But who knows. I remember sitting in a meeting where we discussed that particular business model (that eventually fell on it's ass) Back then the members areas were an afterthought. It was all about making millions of dollars by pop ups between the programs.

It damn sure made some people rich real fast. But we always knew that with no real foundation in the form of quality members areas it couldn't last. That's the main reason I question that number. I know for a fact that people were canceling just as soon as they went inside the members area back in that day.

Hell, they used to just GIVE us sales according to how much traffic we sent. Used to get a nice 20k check from both max cash and ars every month. They would give us these crazy stats claiming we had made outrageous sales every day.

I never believed it. Back then they merely doctored up the stats to keep the traffic flowing. It was all about the pop-ups. Sounds crazy now. But it wasn't back then.

I guess pop up blockers....and the Bang Bus put that to rest.

It's a MUCH better world on the internet now for surfers. I know everybody is screaming about x-sells and such...but that ain't SHIT compared to what used to be done to surfers. Hell if you got past the never-ending pop up chain then you probably had a dialer installing on you at the same time. LOL A lot of money got made by fucking a whole lot of people. Today it's almost quaint...almost. :)
