A few simple blog site questions...
 

Well...as I explained in my first post, i've been out of the loop for around 4 years. I'm trying to teach myself a little about blog sites, figure out whether it's woth pushing them or not.

1) Are blog sites essentially the same as mgp's whereas you post links to galleries but obviously with more description, trying to push the surfer to signup at a site?

2) When i used to run an MGP site, i'd update with 50-100 new galleries a day, however a lot of the blog sites i've seen only update with one/two galleries per day...is this normal or have I just seen the wrong sites.

3) Quality or quantity? One blog site updating with 25+ galleries a day, or 25+ blog sites with one/two galleries a day?

4) Sponsors...is it better to have pps sponsors or is it the norm to use ppc sponsors?

5) Trades! This is where i'm getting a headache...how do you trade, with hardlinks only, skimming, a combination of the two.

Now i'm sure a few of you will want to say go and try and figure it out for yourself, which is a fair comment. However i'm not looking for the keys to the kingdom, just a few basics pointing me in the right direction. I remember back in the day when my archives were getting 20/30 signups a day, I protected my promotion tactics like I would my life, but I was still happy to share information on how I started and get people on the right track.

You can make a few blogs at funlogger.com :)

1) Usually link to the tours , if you link directly to the gallery it can work as well.
2) I myself update three times a week.
3) Quality / Quantity is up to you and what you want to do with it. Make 30 blogs pr 2-4 you can sell links ... get one blog pushing huge traffic you can convert sponsors , get 30 blogs with huge traffic and pr you can sell traffic.
4)A mix of sponsors is usually best.
5) Blogs are all about SERPS , where you rank for the niche you choose. Don't want shitty traffic on a blog if you want to convert sponsors.
