    macbook pro video issues

Anyone here using a Macbook Pro with bootcamp running XP? I bought my replacement laptop 3 weeks ago and have been having all sorts of issues with wmv video content. If my computer has been running for more than a few hours and I launch a wmv video, it freezes the laptop and eventually ends in a bsod or I have to force a power cycle.

I have tried backing out from Windows Media Player 11 back to 9 as I have heard there are wmv problems with WMP11, but that did not help. I am running the lastest version of bootcamp and all apple-supplied drivers. Unfortunately, I found out that NVidea does not release driver updates and officially doesn't even support their cards on laptops. I never had this issue with my previous Macbook Pro running the exact same config, although I did own it for only 2 months before it was stolen.

    Any suggestions?

I don't use OSX at all, I am using windows 100% of the time. I just like the mac hardware as its sleek, lightweight and very sexy!

It has nothing to do with the computer being on for an hour.

Something is wrong with your Codec or Player install..

            Try a diff player...
