First header's bg design is better, but the "updated with..." sort of ruins it for me

The second one but the J should come in front of the hand.

logo itself is not back but I don't get the hands in bg is it a porn blog or a drunken toast blog?

What he said, although #2 looks more professional in my view - #1 looks like you've very quickly superimposed the text straight over the top.

I would prefer number 2 for what its worth.

#2 looks much better to me

i picked #1 cuz the actual site name is more readable and enhanced.

2 I think it would look better on a full page.

2nd one looks much better, but as other already said, font in front of the hands
