Warning about VividCash
 

a lot of vividcash fhg's using butt.com, cunts.com, and i think some others are now redirecting to shitty parked pages with other ads on them.

i've been sending them traffic for months as they were one of my better trusted sponsors last year.

i emailed several of their addresses yesterday and have yet to recieve a response.

i do NOT expect something like this from a sponsor such as Vivid and i am really pissed off about this.

i'm waiting to see how they compensate me for sending traffic to their now defunct pages.

one gallery alone recieved well over 140k...so you can tell i am very unhappy with them.

dunno. i emailed almost everything listed in their contact area, which i've recieved replies from in the past.

didn't vividcashs main affiliate page go down for a day or so not long ago because they forgot to renew?

and you used Vivid as a sponsor because ....... ?


They were one of the first studios to fuck over their distributors and sell direct to stores. Not shocking they'd do the same thing to their affiliates online :2 cents:

i wasn't aware of that.

i used them for ages and they always paid on time, my experience was good, regardless of not knowing about that little bit of history.

Rednax - check your fhg's though.

Vivid no longer owns half the domains they place their fhg's on, which are STILL available in the vivid backend, which blatantly shows their disregard for webmasters.

They're basically giving you fhg's that don't exist, so if you were to ever import them into a tgp script, your traffic is gone.

I've had them imported into my tgp script since last year, and trusting them as I did, I didn't think I needed to make sure a company like Vivid would screw us over like this and not even take good measures to make sure all the webmasters know not to send traffic to those domains anymore.

What's going on vivid - did you sell the domains with part of the deal being you won't tell the webmasters and your buyer will consume the remaining traffic till someone notices it? wtf...

I am really pissed off and upset about this.

Was fine for me too, until I noticed I had sent tons of traffic to nonexistant galleries. These are galleries I've had up for ages and never expected someone like Vivid to lose/sell the domains their own content is hosted on...AND NOT TELL US OR MAKE A BIG NOTE OF IT IN THEIR ADMIN.

Now what am I supposed to do with all the traffic lost?

Pull all your links and move on. Don't expect compensation or an apology. This same type of thing has happened to me with a few sponsors. I don't start threads about it. I just pull links and move on.

maybe you should start threads like this because if you're getting screwed, then others are too.

would be nice to get a heads up from the general community when this happens.

damn that sucks. i hate when sponsors use other domains for their FHG cause you can see this happening when someone forgets to renew the domain

VividCash has always paid me on time and been good, this thing with the FHG's sounds bad though. I have ICQ'd Mike this thread

all the FHG's I checked on the domains 1215 mentioned still work, and go to the relevant join page with ref code still intact.

Is this about FHG URL's that used to be on their FHG list but aren't any longer?

I figured that their FHG's were on leased domains & that they did NOT own cunts.com etc. so that should've been a warning sign right there. I was not aware of their video companies business reputation before this (about paying distributors, etc)

This has all been taken care of with the guys who administer the domains which the hosted galleries reside on. New webmasters may have noticed that hosted galleries are not available until we activate them for this very reason (I'm not comfortable with a 3rd party hosting/administering for us) and we let them know that we don't control these servers or the domains for that matter. This is a long story as to how this deal came about and I've been against it from the very beginning. Mainly because it makes no fucking sense but I don't make all the decisions. Hit me up if you feel you should be credited and we'll take care of it.

Downtime was around one day, little less from the info I got on when changes were made to the domains.

i've been taken care of and things are fine with me now.

i just think if there's ever going to be possible downtime with vivid's galleries, they need to post a note in the admin for webmasters and send an email too.
