MojoHost 1st to purchase Enterprise Commercial License for JW Player for all clients
 

Hello Everyone,

Whether it's for tours, free sites, hosted galleries or today's tube sites everyone is incorporating Flash into their online presence. MojoHost is proud to announce that it is the first corporation to purchase an enterprise commercial license for JW Player. Rather than sit silently and point clients to http://www.jeroenwijering.com/ for the best flash player on the market and wonder whether or not everyone is paying for a commercial license we decided to go one step further...

All existing and future clients of MojoHost are now authorized to deploy JW Player on unlimited domains and servers residing on the MojoHost network. Upon discovery that our support team is constantly recommending JW Player I was compelled to negotiate a license for unlimited commercial use on the MojoHost network. I consistently search for opportunities to improve the experience and tool set available to MojoHost clients. Not only is the player license now free but so is installation and implementation for everyone enjoying our fully managed service.

In case you are unaware, in 2006 MojoHost also purchased an enterprise license for LinkSentinal, allowing all MojoHost clients to deploy premium anti-hotlink protection where needed for WMV and MPEG files. LinkSentinal is from the makers of ProxyPass, http://proxigence.com/, and is otherwise only available in a monthly rental from them for $600 annually.

Adding JW Player to our suite of tools after giving clients the ability to also license the Wowza Flash Media Player (http://www.wowzamedia.com) at $50 monthly instead of purchasing for $995 we feel that we are best equipped to handle everyone's demanding media hosting.

That's kind of the point, really.

I purchased it so that I would sleep better at night knowing that our support staff recommends a product that our clients are using properly and the creator has been paid appropriately. I do have some clients whose choice would be to pay for license and this now presents a savings for them. All in all, just looking out for client best interests and also those of a very skilled development team.
