MMA - Best Pound For Pound Fighter I'm gonna start this off with BJ Penn |
 Fedor takes it...without a doubt. |
Fedor, then Anderson Silva, then GSP/Penn...those are my fav's! |
 BJ it is. |
I'll have to add Kid to the list of contenders. |
 I'd say Fedor |
Fedor takes the cake, GSP and Anderson Silva for a close second Silva is expected to fight Roy Jones Jr. if Dana White can butt out, I'd love to see that |
This will piss people off: Rickson Gracie :winkwink: |

i am going to have to add urijah faber to the list.. |
Uriah Faber? I also saw a little Hispanic kid from Chicago who's name slips my mind. I think he's the WEC lightweight champ. |
Fedor and Georges St Pierre. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the Fight Science Videos :thumbsup |

Put him against BJ penn(even at 150 catch up weight) and he will be exposed(probably in the first round). BJ on the other hand can go up to 170, 185 or even 205 and hold his own. That is a true P4P fighter. Send Faber to japan so he faces real competition before talking about him. Urijah is very good, I would say he is an "A" fighter, but you can't compare him to BJ, Silva or Fedor at all. Maybe he'll get that good later in his career, but I doubt it. |
marketsmart since you are the almighty MMA expert, I would like to know what are your picks for tonight's event since your prophecies should materialize. |
Its GSP for me! I give GSP best all round fighter, Silva is the best striker and Fedor is the best EVER! Thats my vote. |

a lot of people said joyce gracie was the best p4p for quite some time... my point is, that fighters come and go.. to not give faber or any other fighter credit for being dominent in their wt class is discrediting the sport... now that ufc is working hard at going worldwide, i expect to see a lot more higher quality fighters in the next few years... |
Alright, so what are your picks for tonight anyways? There's not only the UFC in the world, most of the better lighter fighters fight in Japan. Affliction also has the best heavies fighting for them. Who do you think would win? Faber or Kid? How do you think Faber would do at 155 against Sherk or Jo Daddy for example? Like I said I give Faber credit but you just can't compare him to someone like BJ PENN. He's just not there yet. |
Fedor, Silva, GSP. I'd say GSP is better than Silva but he'll need a few more fights before it's proven. But anyone compared to Fedor is sooo hard to gauge. |
Fedor Silva GSP BJ Kid / JZ |
 Silva. :thumbsup |

Where are KB and Cory on this list? |
all in all I would go with BJ Penn with Anderson Silva a close second |
 fedor Pierre. |
I'd say Silva, Fedor, BJ then a gap to GSP I can see Silva beating Fedor, BJ & GSP but I think GSP still needs to dominate his division before he's considered top3. Beating an aged Matt Hughes and 2 tries to beat Serra doesn't convince me (yet) |
I will throw my 2 cents into the pot I personally think Fedor like most of the old Pride fighters is over rated. The future may prove me wrong, I am keeping an open mind. I personally like GSP, Anderson Silva, BJ Penn. |
It simple its Fedor. The guy has never really lost (dont even try to count that bullshit cut fight) and has fought everybody. I dont care that he is a heavy weight he is also a machine! |
 1. Fedor 2. GSP 3. Andersen Silva 4. Bj |

oh and I cast a vote for Brock Lesnar.... lol jk GSP! |
I'm fairly shocked so few are saying Anderson Silva outright. But when he wins the UFC Light Heavyweight title, then there will be no doubt. |
As a Canadian, I'm obviously a GSP fan. That said, I think BJ is up there considering his fights in higher weight classes like Machida, etc. Fedor, is the best heavyweight but it's also the weakest division (let's see how he does against AA). Spider dominates people every time out and probably should be top of this list (but he also hasn't been really "tested" in the UFC yet. maybe because he's that good?). GSP out works people and consistently shows that he is one of the most athletic and skilled fighters at WW. I don't really like p4p since you can't come to a consensus but these are obviously the top 4 right now. |
Isnt Faber undefeated? Not that it means everything-- but his record is like 2x-0 or something crazy like that. I would put Faber at the top along with Anderson the spider Silva- when he came into the light heavies and dominated against TheSandman ( yea Sandman took a mean shot and crumbled) - regardless- Anderson was fucking on fire. Im not really a fanboy of him- -but damn he is pretty unstoppable. Faber-same thing- take either of them:pimp |
 1) Fedor - Damn I felt bad for Tim Sylvia... kinda 2) Anderson Silva - 36 seconds, holy shit, nice right 3) BJ Penn - soon to step up to 170 to fight GSP... I think he might beat him too... Faber would get crushed by several UFC lightweights... might happen later in the year |
