fuzebox 07-19-2008 11:11 AM

I've never had a problem...

...but then I guess the bars on the windows, reenforced doors, and electric fence around the property help some, nevermind that the armed guards usually don't let riff raff on the property :thumbsup

IllTestYourGirls 07-19-2008 11:17 AM

london needs to ban knifes asap. you all should be eating with spoons. Do you people feel safer with allllllllll those cameras watching you all the time or do you feel trapped?

Compdoctor 07-19-2008 11:21 AM

One day two cows got on the hwy, and boy oh boy was there a trafic back up for miles. the local farmer got a ticket.

Scott McD 07-19-2008 12:08 PM

It's quite bad but probably not any worse than most places...

dav3 07-19-2008 12:24 PM

3 days after I moved to this small town in NC, my car was stolen. So yea.

So much for 'Homeland Security'.

Jens Van Assterdam 07-19-2008 12:27 PM

Some brothers trying to fuck arround in my neighbourhood, but i always have a gun in my truck and drive to emergency calls when the cops are busy. I just like to seperate the boys from the men..

Antonio 07-19-2008 12:48 PM

for a normal person very safe, if you are into crime n shit the local gangsters don't fuck around

andrej_NDC 07-19-2008 01:16 PM

Very safe, actually nothing ever happened to me in 29 years, nor had I anything stolen. Same goes for my family/friends.

Bird 07-19-2008 01:23 PM

Travel Advice for Costa Rica - Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade
We advise you to exercise a high degree of caution in Costa Rica because of the high risk of serious crime.

Boobzooka 07-19-2008 01:54 PM

Murder rate is less than a quarter the national average. Robbery and assaults is less than half. Basically you're 99.999% safe unless you have a high-risk job or high-drama lifestyle.

Reak AGV 07-19-2008 02:01 PM

About 5 to 7 tourists get killed every week, most of them take a dive from their appartment balcony/window or get stabbed with kitchen knives. Not to mention daily traffic deaths and the many motorbike accidents because everyone is drunk. I wouldn't say my city is safe, at all.

Barefootsies 07-19-2008 02:02 PM

All in all I guess it's not too bad. I am not worried even in the worst of neighborhoods the next town up. But...

I hear that my county is the worst for child porn, and crystal meth in MI.

I do not know if that is complete horseshit, or not. But I know my old college roomie who's homeland security has been over here a few times to the west coast of MI to deal with both those issues. :disgust

Occasionally we get the nut who is running down a major ave with guns, or someone finds a head chopped off or some other crazy shit a time or two a year. But that's nothing compared to Battle Crack, the next town over, aka Cereal City.

Over there they have had rapes on major roads, and in front of the mall. People shooting at school buses, a number of murders for a town that small and shit like that.

Madness.

Pattaya, Thailand... not bad at all. It's kind of like Heaven here, no crime, no loose women, no HIV and STDs, you really should check this place out.

baddog 07-19-2008 03:01 PM

overall, about .5 times the National Average, except murder, .18

fris 07-19-2008 03:03 PM

slapass 07-19-2008 04:18 PM

andrej_NDC 07-19-2008 06:08 PM

% of national average doesn't tell us much...since some countries have fucked up crime rates

the content guy 07-19-2008 06:29 PM

Hong Kong, can walk drunk off my ass at 3am through alley ways with a pocket full of cash and not once have to look behind me to see if anyone is following.

the biggest crime risk here is getting your pocket picked in a very crowded area, and even that is rare.

of course this is all assuming you dont live in some of the notorious caged city government housing places, but those are away from the main city so unless you actually venture into those buildings you are fine.

None, Little to no crime in the city I live in.
We had one cop killed since the city was first created back in the 30s.

Petty crimes, do take place... Mostly on the tourist... They seam to be fair game. Our local paper writes a quarter of a page, with all the calls to the Police Department. It's funny to read through it. One guy who had some punk kid take his lawn mower. Another guy who caught his neighbor in his tool shed.

We are trying to Anex a stretch of land near MIA airport, and the biggest fear with the residents, is the fact that we would need to build another police station to provide the same type of policeing that we have within the current city limits.

One detail 50 to 60 percent of my taxes goes to pay the Police, we have the highest per resident Police force locally in Miami-Dade.

I am somewhere in latin america & last night as I am pulling up to my hotel, the two guys in the car in front of me started shooting there guns off, for no apparent rreason.
I ducked like a mo fo!

As i arrived to my hotel i went to my room with this little hottie 19 year old..

As she disrobes and just before she starts to suck my cock she reaches for her underwear and blows her nose in her panties!

I almost shit my pants!

This is a true story!

Crime is everywhere here but I still love (la adventura) the adventure, con el locos!

Spunky 07-19-2008 08:17 PM
