Did somebody figure out how to shave with NATS or something?

What the fuck is the deal with all of these insane payouts and promos lately? I highly doubt all of those sales are being counted. Just sayin.

if you look at the signup pages, i think you will find many of them using their own merchant account, thats where the extra $$ is coming from, its not anything to do with nats

shaving is so 90s

Dirty F 07-19-2008 09:08 AM

2 prechecked cross sales rebilling at 40 bucks a month :/

nekrom 07-19-2008 09:12 AM

I'd say a combination of lower processing fees due to own bank ma's, rather then 3rd party billing. Pre-checked cross sells & most likely aggressive members area upsells and mailings.

Nats is a honest run script & program so we know there is no funny business going on there.

It's all from pre checked xsales dude, nothing to do with Nats. If you think the big programs get by on just wonderful content, think again. Your customer will be charged $100+ for their "trial" membership, you'll make a couple of $$ and lose a paying customer for life.

fuzebox 07-19-2008 10:26 AM

A program's ability to shave has nothing to do with the script. If you don't trust the company, then that's that. Shaving with NATS is as easy as shaving with any other software, even your own custom software. The "anti-shave" marketing was because Mansion got busted building a shaving module for MPA2, so NATS' marketing was "we don't have a shave module".

You shouldn't be relying on NATS to determine if a program is trustworthy or not. If you think they're shaving you, don't promote them.

Yep! And then you wonder, why some surfers will never pull a credit card and simply go to the tubes.

partial truth,

i'm sure the Euro customers are getting hit much harder. rob more like 160+ USD for them

bdld 07-19-2008 02:00 PM

the sponsor gets all that lingering traffic you send after promo time. and there's fine print to get the payouts, such as emailing them within a certain time period to get credit. trust me if it wasn't profitable for them they wouldn't do it.

How to Shave with NATS

1. Delete cookies.
2. Profit!

DWB 07-19-2008 02:29 PM

You guys blasting pre-checked cross sales, also have to think that not everyone is getting hit with those. A smart surfer is going to check the page before he buys. Though I'm sure a good handful get through, all it takes is a quick look around and scroll to see if there is anything else.

I don't feel bad for them. It just takes a second to look around and see what is going on, then unclick or leave it. THEN they get emails saying what they joined. All they have to do is cancel any trial or membership the bought.

So you would have to NOT check the page, NOT check your email and NOT check your account to double check your charges. If you can't do ONE of those... I don't feel for ya.

Ofcourse also a reason why they can pay that much is because they will keep getting sales prior and after the promo and dozens of new affiliates. It's hard to push traffic to a site just 1 day. You start pushing before the promo and traffic will continue after.

kektex 07-19-2008 05:32 PM

I havent had any luck with any of these promo days lately.
Sponsors that make me at least a couple of sales a day suddenly stop converting on promo days....

chompers 07-19-2008 05:34 PM

some promos i kill on and some i bomb. I have no idea why.
