delay in appearing of ccbill id

hi guys

i'm in very strange situation

sometimes i check join pages for my ccbill id. and i need to say that 20% times i can't find it. really :Oh crap

at the beginning i thought that that's ff3 problem. but some time later i check each such 'ill' link in ie and opera. results were the same (( But u know... when i come back in a few minutes and do the same - it appears

i don't want to say nothing bad on ccbill, just advise where the problem can be

the latest link is http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...000&PA=1781004 (taken from ccbill admin)

This is very strange indeed. There should be no delay as the system should be able to read the cookie or not. Lets chat about this, I'll icq you shortly.

thx, Paul

i contacted your support team before, when i didn't notice that it appears after some time. they just tell me, that all is ok. i checked and it really was ok )

i asked few my friends to check this. some were in the same situation, but some got id at first attempt. and it happends really from time to time. i can repeat, that it's nearly 20% of programs i run.

MrDeiz 07-19-2008 01:57 AM

btw did u mind to launch 'ccbill link checker' or something like that?

there were few times when i also couldn't find my id. i contacted support and they told me that program has move these sites out of ref program. links from program's site were typical ccbill links. also there were few times when the problem was in wrong subaccount id.

it's very invonvenient to check each site manually.

support advised me to use ccbill admin codes. but if program has 10 sites, 7 or 4, ccbill admin has only 1 code.

if they have grouping on its a matter of changing the url at the end for example.

For instance. If you signed up for us and were promoting DaisyMarie18.com you would have a url like this.

http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...isymarie18.com

Dixie would be like this.

http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic....DixieDash.com

The account and subaccount stay to the main one, just the url for the site changes.

It can be a tad confusing with grouping, or without grouping. The program you are promoting should have an area to provide you your link codes too.

MrDeiz 07-19-2008 11:41 AM

thx a lot

yes, it usualy looks like program provides linking codes, they are not working and support reccomends to use ccbill admin code. yes, i know that's possible to create links using ccbill code + site url, but some programs use subacc, so these codes aren't working. and it's very inconvenient to hit each time support to ask what's the deal

MrDeiz 07-19-2008 11:44 AM

btw, i still don't understand why do i can't get code from the first attempt.

Works fine here:

MrDeiz 07-20-2008 09:41 AM

shit, the same was with this link http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...urtvs.com?nc=1

~5 min passed, new launch and it's there

any minds?

MrDeiz 07-20-2008 03:39 PM

more bad news...
now it happends to all new sites...

Scotty.T 07-20-2008 04:09 PM

Are you talking about when you sign up for a new program, grab the URL with the new affiliate ID and then test it out to see if link code appears in the source on the join page. When you test it the aff ID isn't there?

MrDeiz 07-20-2008 04:54 PM

yes. it isn't there for the first time. and then, some time later, i do the same and it's there

ExtremeBank_Adam 07-20-2008 07:26 PM

I did a test signup through my affiliate link to a website... and I never got credit for the sale. Related?

EDepth 07-20-2008 11:00 PM

If you test an affiliate link right after signing up to that program, your affiliate id # will not show up on the join page... It always takes a few minutes...

It happens to me. It generally takes only a few minutes for me but it can take longer. CCBill told me it can take upto x hours to appear on the system fully. I always check the join page before I put new links live now.

MrDeiz 07-21-2008 09:23 AM

thx Scotty
it seems that's the reason
it's just strange that CCbill guys didn't tell me that :)

MrDeiz 08-04-2008 09:51 AM

sorry guys, but i'm in another situation

now i start to promote ccbill programs only on the next day after the registration

but now i noticed another thing
e.g. this one site http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...ectbarbie.com/ gets my id on join page after the second try

i mean that in my first try i can't find id, and in my second try it's there

most of links are ok in the first time, but this one is not

was there for me on first try. You can always look in the source code for your referrer code too.

MrDeiz 08-04-2008 10:24 AM

believe me, i know how to check )) i already checked really many programs

i don't know, maybe it's already ccbill paranoia ))
but i'm really tired with ccbill codes

it really sucks to check each site out

e.g. i can find id in ie and can't in ff for this link http://refer.ccbill.com/cgi-bin/clic...delangela.com/

i think many ppl would be grateful if they'd improve their system

signupdamnit 08-04-2008 04:28 PM

Hmmm.... bump. I am in about 400 ccbill affiliate programs and will definately be checking this out. :/
