Danza is crazy. If he was a cop I would get it. He sells porn. He needs to stay away from everyone/everything.

You obviously dont know him. Its the gun he has with him...hes looking for an excuse to use it. It has nothing to do with helping people. Hes a gun freak and cant wait to use it somewhere in public. The guy is total danger to society and should be locked up or he should be put on some island where the only person he can shoot is himself.

Guns tend to do that.

And therein lies the problem - too many wannabe sheriffs and heroes out there.
It's one thing to help someone out if you happen upon a situation, it's entirely another thing to think you're Batman and go "looking for trouble". Eventually, it will end badly.

He doesnt care. He wants to get into a situation where some crook pulls a gun and he can use his to defend himself. He cant wait to shoot a person instead of cans. Hes cleary very mentally ill. Im 100% sure if this guy gets his brain tested they would call him insane and lock him up.

Good for him. If he gets the proper CPR training and other requirements, he can be a volunteer EMT. You go, Danza!

Reminded me of a guy I knew in college who would walk around the apt complex I lived in with a 357 strapped to his waist and would claim the local police thanked him for patrolling the neighborhood. He was kind of creepy, he even had a super troopers mustache.

Seems a bit extreme, but since there's people driving around every day looking to kidnap, molest and kill children, I'd tend to side closer to a guy like Danza than the other extreme.

I can just say that here in Toronto, people are fucking pussies. You could grab their wife's ass and you'd probably get a stern "talking to" and a cold stare. If someone is getting beat up or robbed, people are WAY too scared of their fragile life to get involved and take any risks.

People leave too much to the police nowadays. If I come home and find my door knocked down and my wife is being raped, I can't even kill him.

You know what I'm supposed to do?

Call the police and not get involved.

Is that fair?

I consider Danza a bigger danger to society.

I've spent a lot of time in real life with Danza and he is far from a nutjob... I wouldn't take what he posts on GFY too seriously. Yes he legally carries a gun, and he's probably the most responsible and most anal about safety person I've ever met. Judging him based on the content he produces or what he writes on gfy wouldn't be an accurate picture.

Franck you probably won't care what I think, but I've never flamed you or tried to start shit on GFY with anyone, so at least drop it with the idea that he's riding around every night in his batmobile looking for people to start shooting at, because that's not true.

Although listening to the police scanner is a real hoot, last month there was a fight that escalated into a shooting and a car chase... We were at his place eating dinner and it was almost like a live radio show :1orglaugh

The problem is guys like danza seem to think that movies like superman and batman are real. He probably jerks himself to sleep thinking about how to be this lone unassuming guy who saved the day and everyone praised.... I bet Chuck Norris features heavily on his bedroom walls....

dude got serious issues. Reading his posts over the past years i always knew he's the most blunt knife in the drawer, and that particular post of him confirms that he's a fucking hazard to society: dumb + guns + wannabe vigilante = a deadly combination for innocent bystanders.

I bumped into a suv with a mom and her 2 kids.. and while waiting for the cops, dirty danza showed up and took a shot at me when he found out that I forgot my license.

my dad is a paramedic and i know a few times they have had wannabe super hero's arrested who do this type of thing
they call it a hero complex .. the person feels the need to show up to crimes ... always wants to get into the action ...

He's in a big town, so I don't know how that works, but that's very common in small towns here in the South.

A couple of months ago, my neighbor started having chest pains while mowing his yard. I think 2 or 3 trucks/cars beat the police and fire medics to the house.

If there's some kind of emergency, people around here will actually have a discussion about whether to call 911 or not, just to avoid the hassle of the whole "rescue parade" showing up and freaking out all the neighbors. :1orglaugh

not even my friends just random people...

so I come off as mental because I am driving along and hear an accident that happened 1 block away from where im at now and the nearest medical is 4 min away.. I am 1 min away... so now ive had First Responder training and what not... who do you want at the accident scene with your mother who's bleeding to death... a citizen who knows a thing or 2 to first respond while waiting for EMT and paramedics? or just random citizens who know nothing but to watch your mother bleed to death? this can happen on a daily basis..

My wifes grandmother was recently at a restaraunt in New Jersey she collapsed and had a heart attach on the spot... there was a lady there who just finished her classes in CPR saved her life.. (TRUE STORY) now is that lady crazy for getting involved?

Justify it however you want. Not going to bother reading your reply. Probably some rant about saving lives.

Its not like he's showing up at armed robberies to lend his assistance with his Hand gun. I don't see the major issue with a citizen helping another citizen before the proper help arrives.

The gun has nothing to do with the accident call... I assume you don't also run armed robbery calls right?

If you happen to come on the scene of an accident first great but to actually drive around listening for calls....

How many times has this actually happened? For you to get there before Metro/Medics on a regular basis in Vegas you must be driving around 24/7 waiting for calls and then doing 90mph to the scene. :helpme

on a daily basis do I run calls I hear on the scanner NO do I listen to it everyday? YES why not.. it's entertainment some people like the radio I like the police scanner.. if I happen to be near and can hear that help is farther than I YES ill stop.. would I chase a robbery in progress? chances are NO it would depend on the situation...

as far as cops saying they don't like armed citizens .. sure thats tru.. but there are just as many cops, sherifs, swat team members, parole officers, any type of peace officer who think that we need MORE properly armed citizens so it go's both ways.. I've been trained, I'm a citizen and I took every legal proper step to do so... I have never once been told off by an officer and ive been there... in fact my buddy has an H2 with full strobes front and rear.. we can block intersections.. I remember one time on an accident we were first on we had the strobes set up and were doing a bit of traffic control since everyone else likes to look... the cops finally got there about 8 min later and it was so funny he parked his bike behind the hummer... then he was walking and walkd next to the truck but stoped half way through and kind of leaned his head around the back for a double take on the strobes.... then he walked by us and was like... nice truck... and went about his business .... we stayed until a tow got there.. in Las Vegas only traffic cops (motorcycle) will respond there are only xxx amount of bikes in town.. sometimes more accidents than bikes.. trust me they may not encourage it but if done properly they don't mind it.... in fact there is a thing here in vegas you can get your permits to strobe up your whip and it's called "traffic enforcment" so on all fatals you get called out to block the road with your whip while fatal detail does it's work....
