The Ft. Myers area has some good fishing and good beaches.
Not much in the way of nightlife...

Head to Ybor City in Tampa for the weeknight party scene!

Ft. Myers is a little boring. If your looking for a quiet non happening place then ft. myers is the place for you

Lived in Ft. Myers for 3 months pretty damn boring.

So there's plenty of time to fish then, sweet.

Must be mostly retired people, as opposed to Ft. Lauderdale / Tampa / Spring Breakers, eh?

The only place worse then Fort Myers is Sarasota, my god it sucks over there. Head over here to the other coast and enjoy 300 miles of entertainment

Ft Myers is a retirement village! lol.

Ft Myers is now a ghost town, with all the empty homes. You drive around and you ask yourself, where is downtown? Where do people work? Who lives here?

But if you are looking for somewhere really quiet, it's not bad. I would consider looking into Naples.
