Pornopat 07-17-2008 09:32 AM

Ah yes..now I see it. The link to vod.
It leads to an aebn theater where they sell their own dvd's again.

Since it is dvd´s being sold instead of memberships to paysites I am not really worried about it.

Yo, Dean here from OrgyCash. This is actually not supposed to be the case, no type of "system". There is a javascript-based softlinking code in place that ejects the links to Blogs, VOD and our DVD shop if a visitor is sent through an affiliate link. But there are bugs in IE6/7, which has been a real thorn in my side. It works fine in FF, Opera, Mosaic, and some other versions of IE.

Visit http://pvw.guysgocrazy.com/preview/ and you should get the DVD/VOD links (if not, clear your Orgycash.com cookies)

If you then click on this link, you should not get any of these links:

http://link.orgycash.com/link.e/31312/ggc/preview/

But only if you're coming through FF, Opera, and some versions of IE...

We will be including DVD sales as a % for Webmasters next month, so that will clear up part of this leak. But we are aware of this quandry and are taking steps to rectify this. Thanks for your patience.

Dean

nice to hear :)

Nice answer.

What I don't get is why you'd do this via js, rather than php, but anyway.

Actually it is php, that spits out js or css. Whenever a surfer arrives at the tour, a snippet of js/css from orgycash is spit out, which varies depending on the presence of a webmaster cookie. When there is a cookie that snippet contains code to hide those links, when not, the links are displayed. It has been explained to me that some versions of IE refuse to access cookies in such a manner unless the target domain (orgycash) has some security parameters in the headers which we are unable to provide. We'll figure it out, probably the old fashioned way--giving a % of DVD sales and pulling the other links.

and those two versions happen to be the main versions used by the majority of surfers :error

O o yea, I see what your problem is there. That kind of sucks, not much you can do about it.

Other than being open about it, like you are. Cheers.

V_RocKs 08-29-2008 12:05 PM

Nice to see you are fixing the leak.

So, will you be crediting affiliates X% retroactively in payment for the revenue you generated due to this unfornate "bug" which effects surfers using the two most popular browsers?

Trixie 08-29-2008 04:57 PM

Legit complaint, nice response from OrgyCash, but what I always wonder when I read affiliates crying about this stuff is why we don't see sponsors in here crying all the time about how many affiliates use sponsor content to send traffic and sales to other places?

Huge double standard, very annoying. Nothing personal to the original poster -- I see it all the time, but felt like mentioning it today.

Yeah, punky brewster, you hit the nail on the head. Your check is in the mail.

timoxxl2 09-01-2008 04:57 AM

i wonder why thy not just switch the link off and make sure the affiliates are not cheated ... instead just keep affiliates send the money to these links and pretend doing something ... just delete the links!

...it doesn't seem too much to ask to me at all. Especially on a revshare program. Did you guys at least fix the issue yet?

BumpUglyz 09-04-2008 11:05 AM

I love orgycash, Ive been promoting them for about four years now, but up until the last few months, sales for me have been horrible. I hang in there, and keep promoting. I'm hoping this sponsor for me picks up because I think it is fresh and it rocks.

Fix those leaks and lets get back to making great sales together :)

fatfoo 09-04-2008 11:21 AM

BumpUglyz 09-04-2008 12:17 PM

timoxxl2 09-07-2008 05:53 AM

i like the content and was the one who reported that leak ... but i am not going to start it before i am not sure they are relieable ... and it looks they dont care about what affiliates think

BumpUglyz 09-07-2008 07:48 AM

I think you're right :(

Hey, guys, we do care and I'm busting balls to get this patched up. If we didn't care I would have never responded in the first place, let alone now again. We appreciate your patience. If it's not fixed by Webmaster Access in Amsterdam, the pot brownies are on me.

Fabien 09-09-2008 05:08 AM

What if i don't do weedies ?

Ok, all patched up! Please give it a whirl, you should find all links you were having issues with removed, and we have implemented a DVD revenue share system (20% of gross sales), with a linking code generator under OrgyCash http://orgycash.com/linkcodes-mm.php which can generate links to the site or to individual DVD titles. Thanks for your patience, all, and see you in Amsterdam! (and let me know if you still spot something fucked up).
