What exactly is his history to make everyone hate him so bad?

I only started watching baseball 3 or 4 years ago, I guess I missed most of what made him seem like such a twat.

Anyone have any stuff to read on what he did to alienate everyone, I heard things like he wants his own locker away from everyone but no specifics.

He's a fantastic athlete. I don't understand them either. Probably just ego stuff.

Bonds spent many years being anti-media, etc. He's been called arrogant, self-serving and not a team player. He seems to have mellowed a bit this year, but I heard that on Friday they had to coherce him to go before the media for questions. I guess he detests it... thinks most of the questions are stupid (yeah they are).

Bonds has a history of not being a post-season player. He does terribly in the playoffs. He's missing a Series championship ring. He's coming to the end of his game and would have to switch to an AL team if he wants to spend a year or two just doing DH. Pressure maybe?

Yeah, Bonds is a prince. 2 members of the Pirates grounds crew died in a traffic accident this year, guys Bonds knew from playing here. The Pirates had an auction for their families where they sold items signed by players from the visiting teams. When Bonds was here he was asked to sign 2 lithographs. His response was "What did they ever do for me?" and he refused to sign them. My hatred for him has nothing to do with him being an outstanding athelete, he's a great baseball player but he's a really shitty human being.
