From what format to what format are you trying to convert. Also their is a Pro Coder forum where you will get far more help. I have been using ProCoder to convert around 4000 DVD's a month to WMV, works like charm. Love that watch folder function

When you add a file into the source tab, what error message are you getting ?. Feel free to email me at jay @ objectcube.com and not post here as I am not on GFY 24*7 :-)

Procoder is one of the few encoding apps that I don't have a lot of experience with but as a general observation, if any video app can't import a file, it is almost always a codec issue. In other words that computer doesn't recognize the codec of the AVI you are trying to import. Are you using Procoder on the same pc that you created the video on with VirtualDub? And if so, did you have Virtualdub installed on that computer *before* you installed Procoder so that Procoder knows what that codec is? If not, that could be your issue. Or maybe you created an AVI file (AVI, files are really a container format) in VirtualDub using some weird, unpopular codec that Procoder doesn't recognize.

when i goto add source, it's an avi saved from virtualdub, it says unable to open windows media source file. gspot says no codec issues, the avi plays fine.
