Any program to organizes all my photos on the computer?

I got like 500 folders of family pics, probably lots of doubles cause the girlfriend keeps moving them around.

any wonderful program out there that can make this an easy clean up and organized

Picasa is my recommendation too. Does the job, does it well and it's free.
