I was just getting over feeling cutting edge with 2.51 and now I look and see 2.6 is out?

spending more time on maintenance nowadays than productive stuff :2 cents:

Wordpress is bloatware... they have alot of issues to fix. I'm surprised they don't release daily upgrades.

WTF? I'm with you, I just got used to 2.5.

just bracing for plugin incompatibility insanity....

and a quick look at the wordpress forums all kinds of people with little problems already like "just upgraded and getting error messages" or "just upgraded and can't login anymore" etc....

Wait for 2.6.1 I guess, always the same with these fuckers ><

I just finished updating all my sites to 2.5. I'm getting tired of that piece of unsecure bloatware, I should never have upgraded from 1.5.

I won't be using WP for any new projects.

this is what you get when using free software. and it's not that the old versions stopped working if you didn't upgrade, so fuck it.

WTF, WP is an awesome cms, and it's totally free.

If you don't like it then write your own software and stop whining.

Imagine WordPress at ring 0 - and why not? There's no way in hell it'll ever have security in the first place.

WP is full of security holes. I had to write script that is guarding crc of all php files to quickly find out and remove possible hacks.

I have about 90 blogs still on 2.2. I'm sticking with it. It works. All the plugins work. You can actually change the permalinks easily and everything else you need to do dead easy.

What do any of these latest builds give us that's new? Half the plugins don't work, usability is reduced, and the interface has gone stinky.

How long before they start charging and become even more irritating?

2.0.11 is the shiznet... No need to upgrade to the new wordpress which is crap.

I was looking for that too last night, it is like they released the new version so quickly that none of the documentation was even ready yet.

I love wordpress... I was unable with it for a while because they changed some stuff but they brought back some of the stuff i liked in 1.x so it's pretty good now

I just did a new WP install this morning, but I'm sticking to 2.5.1 for now. I'm sure 2.6.1 will be released soon anyway to fix whatever issues are sure to be in this new version.

I have tried to upgrade 3 blogs so far.
2 refused to be updated. I doubt it was a user error.
The third one worked and got rid of some flaws of the old version. It looks more user friendly as well.
1 out of 3 working is not good enough for me though so I will wait updating my other 63 blogs till an even newer update is there...
