there are 2 ways he could know..

1. he can read and have read the book at one point.. they do read in prison i have heard.

2. he could have seen the real red dragon movie. its called "man hunter" and it is 10 times better then this new shit-lets-make-$$ ripoff remake can ever be..

The difference is the zodiac was just toying with the police - like his secret message that was supposed to reveal his identity. The bomb he "made" (to take out the school bus) would almost certainly have never worked - while he claimed to have tested it - any 2nd year electronics student could see the flaws (the flashlight thingy would never work - especially in daytime).

The sniper actually has shot a kid.

The sniper is the most rapid serial killer in history (that I can think of) and doesn't seem to care who he kills.

Most serial killers have certain targets - this guy goes after anything.

I don't think Berkowitz is any more less likely to be correct than any of the "experts" I have seen on cnn.

Originally, I thought the guy disliked cops (two of the killings were made in view of police officers). However, I think if that was his real motivation - then he would have shot at a cop by now (on purpose - that lady doesn't count).

He is not like most serial killers. I think he is more like the zodiac killer than probably most others. The whole ransom thing is kind of confusing. How on earth does he think he can get away with this. The guy seems clever, but then uses a payphone (apparently) to call police - when he would be much better off using a prepaid cell phone.

I think something we think we know is not correct. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't all seem to jive to me. I don't think this guy can be profiled like the rest.
