Very sorry to hear that. Think most of us have been through that before, better than the dog suffering.

I feel worse when dogs die than humans for some reason.

Exxxotica 10-22-2002 01:14 PM

Penrod 10-22-2002 01:23 PM

Well he had somekind of weird hart desease. And because of that allmost all of his vital organs failed the last 3 weeks.

He lost almost 15 kilo's in 3 weeks. And then his stomach began to fill up with water.

To stay in the GFY terms, he looked like a pregnant goat!

Well, he's gone now. 3 years is not much, but he had a good life.

Bordeaux Dogs are big and heavy dogs, they can grow up to 70 kilo's. But in good health, 9 years of life max!

We'll get a new one when i get the chance.

He was a good buddy and bodyguard for my wife and kids.

Thanks for all the great replies!

B.

He looks really cool....sorry mate

NacnudEsor 10-22-2002 03:25 PM

I am very sorry about your buddy, Pim. There is a saying that goes "there no bad dogs....only bad dog-owners" (not implying you are a bad owner, just that your dog was a good one). I am sure Pim was a great dog. I hope you are doing ok....I have 2 dogs myself and they make the difference in me having a "good" day from having a "bad day" if I did not have them to look forward to seeing when I get home.

Dogs provide something that people cannot gain from any other life form.....life-long devotion and a willingness to defend you to the death....one of my dogs proved that to me...thankfully he was not killed an is still with us.

My condolences to you and your family!

Wenchy 10-22-2002 04:51 PM

Sorry to hear about your pooch, boldy... what a face! We had to have my dad's cat put to sleep yesterday, so I know what you're going through. It's never easy, but at least they aren't suffering.

:(

Get a new pup soon....it helps man....I had a bouvier when he
died I didn't want to have a new one.....my dad bought a new
pup and gave it as a present.......

Once I got it I realised that I liked it very much.....a new pup can't
replace it but it will remember of a lot of funny things you go
through having a dog.....and you have something to care for
it occupies your mind and doesn't leave you with a gap of not
taking the dog out for a walk and stuff....so even if you think you
want to wait....get a new dog soon.....it will do you good!

DynaMite :thumbsup
