mpeg to avi
 

i keep trying to convert files mpeg to avi, and they come out 15 megabyte files when they are 2 megabytes in the first place.

i am using divx codec, and mpeg layer 3 for audio

does anybody know what i should be using to get the best compress for avi files?
like what the common codec is to compress them in

do you have the dv source files? it would be very preferable if you did. you should always take the uncompressed video, edit it - then compress. cleaner 5 works wonders.

garbage in, garbage out :)

unfortunatley i just have the mpeg files :(
