hosting recommendations?

im gonna start 10 blogs and update them everyday with a handwritten post.

what kind of hosting setup would you recommend?

DutchTeenCash 07-12-2008 05:14 AM

depends on traffic - if youre looking for dedicated a small box with amazing support www.mojohost.com believe me the last you want is a flaky virtual somewhere when youre already spending so much time handwriting

brad and his team will gladly help with any script setup too

Zuzana Designs 07-12-2008 05:15 AM

I would go with webair. 4+ years and love them

www.phatservers.com all the way, their 19,95 deal is great for 10 blogs, 8 exra ip's and you pay 27.95 a month for 10 ip's and great hosting :thumbsup

marko13 07-12-2008 08:01 AM

I would start with some good but cheap hosting like HostHead... if the traffic start to show i should upgrade to other plan they have until i buy box from them....

and they have nice plans and services.....

Thurbs 07-12-2008 08:03 AM

isprime - there can only be one highlander.

pornask 07-12-2008 08:11 AM

You may not need a dedicated right off the bat. Go with some cheap shared, but do regular database back ups. Once your blogs get popular and start getting nice traffic, switch to dedicated then. Otherwise you'll be paying a lot for powerful server and you're gonna lose motivation soon. There's no fun in spending $200 a month for a server, spend 3 hours a day writing content and make $50 in return. Unless your blogs get busy, I wouldn't look at dedicated yet.

Iron Fist 07-12-2008 08:15 AM

You don't need dedicated box unless you want the headache of managing that server. Virtual will be just fine. I've been on virtual and run over 1TB a month so anyone who says upgrade is just fooling you. The guys at http://www.colo-cation.com/ can help you out - the service is always online, which is what you need in an online marketing industry.

Net Money 07-12-2008 08:30 AM

If you are looking for the very best in dedicated hosting then it's a no brainer and talk to www.techiemedia.com but if you only need a small cheap virtual account talk to phatservers or nakidhosting, both have good reps for virtuals.:2 cents::2 cents:

baddog 07-12-2008 08:37 AM

You don't need a dedicated server, but I would definitely get dedicated IP's

If your content is similar, you could look into a virtual package with different dedicated class C ip's.
