Yes Im a Newbie. Can I make money just as an Affiliate

Im a succesful bick and mortar guy which includes a strip club and real estate related businesses. But im fascinated by the adult online business and want to make some money while learning it. Someone give me your opinion on this:

Developing several niche blogs that drive traffic to affiliates. I would plan to drive traffic to the niche blogs from specific niche related youtube teaser videos. does this make any sense at all?

to me it seems like a very non capital intensive way to learn the business and generate some revenue.

I would love some feedback

Dagwolf 07-11-2008 11:13 AM

Go for it, you can't lose much money that way. :) Just make sure you read all palicy agreements with youtube, your sponsor, your host etc. and know the pertinent laws.

payd2purv 07-11-2008 11:15 AM

You own a strip club, etc..

Why would you want to be an affiliate?

Being a webmaster that makes money off sales can make you money.

IF you have traffic, good domains etc....That shit aint easy.. Unless you want to pay out your ass and MAYBE see zero returns...

Mister E 07-11-2008 11:17 AM

Welcome to GFY, if you are patient and develop some search engine chops there IS money to be made.

I say this because one of my top earners was a newbie 6 months ago, found a niche not too exposed and worked it (work it) to death!

Choose niches you like (I can only look at so many shemales images in a life) and spend as much time reading old threads on various boards,

Feel free to hit me up, no illusions, no bs.

Always excited by the developmental process, and this business (next to music) is the one that is (usually) most fun.

And sometimes y'all get to see tits, serious like!

BradM 07-11-2008 11:18 AM

Open another strip club instead.

wetkendra 07-11-2008 11:32 AM

thanks for the advice

dont get me wrong ive done verygood in the s club and real estate business but its time to learn something new.

gotekix 07-11-2008 11:32 AM

That's the way I got started, with blogs and TGP submissions. Now 4 years later I'm running an affiliate program. As mentioned before, make sure you choose a good niche that isn't too saturated. Hit me up with any questions you have :)

sniperwolf 07-11-2008 01:35 PM

Welcome to GFY! :drinkup

That makes no sense. If I was doing "very well" in something I'd simply branch out with my knowledge and replicate what I was doing in different markets.

Violetta 07-11-2008 02:23 PM

everything is possible... but it takes some hard and smart work!

d-null 07-11-2008 03:16 PM

it's like anything else, knowledge, smarts, and alot of hard work are keys, and a little bit of good luck and being in the right place at the right time never hurts either

internet business tends to be pretty consuming, remember, alot of people spend 16 hours a day every day doing something to be successful, especially so for the first year or two.... like any business though, once you have things running smoothly for a couple years it can get easier if you knew what you were doing in setting things up, just like a brick and mortar business... although the internet has alot of change and external forces that can destroy the best laid plans overnight (or in some rare cases blow them up into a billion dollar fortune)

the club and real estate businesses tend to be very people oriented businesses, which is pretty opposite from the affiliate side of this business (being a solitary in front of a computer 18 hours a day kind of thing)... if your strengths are more in the sales and people side of things you might want to reconsider and go hard on something that suits those strengths more

just some thoughts, best of luck with whatever you do :thumbsup

Klen 07-11-2008 03:21 PM

Invite experienced webmasters into your strip club and gather knowledge from them ;)
Webmasters maybe make good money but not much of them getting laid :)

polish_aristocrat 07-11-2008 03:29 PM

Really, considering your background, it makes no sense to enter the porn biz as a low key affiliate.

It is very likely that you'll waste lots of time and earn next to nothing.

Unless you've got some hidden talents and will outsmarten all the SE guru's and get top positions in Google ;)

But really, stay away. Strip clubs, real estate, that's much more serious biz than wasting your time in front of the PC writing some niche blog posts...

Jens Van Assterdam?

I don't know him much, but he said that he has lots of other background in mainstream internet....

He's the exception, not the rule.

This guy here has background in real estate and running a strip club, and not in getting visitors to his sites :2 cents:

So I repeat, it is very likely that his time spent on this will be totally wasted.

I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say about blogs if you have the time. I added you on ICQ. I'm planning on building 3 at the moment along with the solo girl paysite I have.

Happy Friday everyone!

Welcome to GFY :)

Your plans sound really good... as a noob stay away from SEO and link trading and buy traffic to your sites. If you can get dating traffic to your sites you should do ok... the conversion rate should be good... don't buy tgp/mgp traffic because most of it is "CJ" traffic, basically junk quality non converting traffic... be careful who you listen to for advice on GFY, however, keep an open mind... there are some real pros here and they might hook you up...

Good luck,

payd2purv 07-11-2008 03:48 PM

If I owned a strip club the last thing i'd be thinking about would be opening up websites based on affiliate programs...

I might build a site and promote or crossell other peoples stuff but it won't be the basis of me being in business...

Strip club owners have unlimited source of pussy and etc.

DefaultMan 07-11-2008 04:02 PM

It's a tough business but a fun one. Good luck with your new venture and hit me up if you need any specific promo content from one of our girls at 69G's :thumbsup

clutch_hicks 07-11-2008 04:07 PM

if you decide to make a go of it as an affiliate make sure to stop in and sign up to www.iheartbucks.com:thumbsup

Doctor Dre 07-11-2008 04:16 PM

Beeing a strip club owner I would go more toward cams/dating stuff.

For every girl at the club who wants to start doing cam shows, you build mini sites for every girl with a couple pics, description, link to cam site profile... give them business cards with the name of the site on it for their clients.

You can also use their content to submit galleries and generate sales to the cam site.

You could also easily start a studio... with girls working at the bar promoting the site to their clients giving camshows.

ronaldo 07-11-2008 04:27 PM

Becoming an internet success is easy. The following formula is simple and has been mastered by many of the people here on GFY...

Step 1. Find GFY
Step 2. Ask common newbie questions that GFY regulars will ridicule you for
Step 3. Become offended and tell everyone off
Step 4. Apologize publicly on GFY for step 3
Step 5. Post between 20-30 meaningless posts per day so you up your post count but keep a low profile at the same time (eg-become a contest whore)
Step 6. After a 2-3 month period of step 5, switch your attitude to know-it-all prick that talks down to the newbs AND the vets
Step 7. Post screencaps of your millions to those that question you

You're on your way...you've found GFY. The next steps aren't that hard. Read, watch and learn. You'll be a GFY success story in no time. :thumbsup

You nailed this one! I totaly agree.

He should skip the affiliate stuff completely.

ShiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiTTTTTTTTTT!!!!! If he can get the domain name as the name of his club and promote that with cams, his regular customers will blow the site up.

bloggingseo 07-11-2008 04:41 PM

Yes you can make money as an affiliate! It takes patience and hard work. Lots of link trading and seo work. You can do it! Sometimes it can be up and sometimes it can be really down. Good luck! And see sig for a great program that also has rss feeds for your blog :-)

Focus on making your strip club more profitable. You can make some money online but in reality that boat came and went out many times. The roi of your time compared to the other things you have will be poor.

wetkendra 07-11-2008 05:16 PM

Just want to learn something new and different

you may make $90/month after 4 months of hard work, thats ninety not ninety thousand however because there are thousands like you the sponsor will make ninety thousand - that's what the affiliate game is all about

ignore this guy, he has the mindset that just because he does not make money means noone else makes money.
proof - fucking-around-and-business-discussion/825454-sales-gone-zero-doing.html

However I do advise you to stay clear, was a good idea about having your strippers set up cams so they can be making you money when they are both offline and online.

anyway goodluck

To make big bucks in this biz you need to let headless design your sites.

You will notice that most sponsors have a minimum payment of $100, you may think its meaningless but it is in fact what keeps this industry fueled. Every day there are hundreds of guys waking up and thinking, hey I can make millions selling porn online, they invest months of work and invest money just to make a couple of sales and then they give up, ofcourse they never reach minimum and the sponsor keeps all the money.

The ones here telling you otherwise and giving false hope are either sponsor reps or trying to sell you something. There is money in porn - but not as an affiliate.

I can't tell if you're ironic or not. Of course there's money in being a affiliate but you have to work smart and hard. And about the minimum payout. I have to agree. A lot of people will drop out of this biz just because they can't reach the minimum payout within a week or so. They all think it's easy money. But it's a good thing. The last thing the interwebz need is more adult websites (except my sites of course). :thumbsup

zabijaq 07-23-2008 06:26 PM

Buy hosting, few domains, make few blogs, get traffic anyway You can and update 2-3 times a week to get returning visitors to have better conversions. Make traffic trades and choose sponsors that converts well for Your niche.
And earn money. That's just what we do.....

Ehm :) Check my SIG ;) Enjoy.

Most important -> read and learn as much as possible. You won't build successful sites just with hard work.

!Welcome!
