Do you wash your soda can before drinking?
 

Starting to turn into a germaphobe I think.... Had a sore throat the othere day
after drinking from a can of pop... Now find myself washing these things every time
I grab one.... Who knows where they been right?

Sometimes with a shirt... if you worry I suggest you use a glass.


But yeah there's a good chance it could be dirty... but whatever man, tell me you never ate sand when you were a kid :)

I don't usually drink soda, but when I do, I quickly rinse the top with water... never really thought there is anything wrong with that... :(

I use to work as a beer delivery driver in my younger days and you would not believe what type of shit runs across the tops of cans and bottles.

Cans and bottles are stored in a warehouse where there are rats, mice, cockroaches and all sorts of bugs. I use to use the cases to build a platform to stand on while I pulled cases off the truck to wheel them inside as did all the other drivers.

So if you combined all the rat, mice, cockroach and anything else that may piss or shit on the product + the fact that we all use to stand on cases with our shoes......it would not be a bad idea to wash them before drinking out of the cans or bottles.

I am never drinking out of a can again, washed or not.... I'm gonna run to CostCo now and get a big ole box of straws

Saw something that I thought was strange one day when a guy filling a coke machine sprayed in Lysol. This it hit me what he was doing.

I also heard that they spray anti-rat poison on the cans(that's why I wipe mine from time to time when I think about it)

I use anything I can. The thought of those rats scurrying across the tops of the cases. Makes me do it every time.

yep I wash all cans before opening and using. pop cans, food cans, etc..

Years ago, I had a job installing security cameras in liquor stores. I saw stacks of beverages in the back rooms up against walls covered in black mold, I saw floors covered with mice & rat shit. I saw the open top soda boxes on the dirty floor get stacked on top of cans of soda. I will never drink out of a can again. :mad:

I RARELY get sick.. I get a slight cold that is gone in 3 days during the winter when everyone else is sick.. but aside from that nothing..

I also eat fast food 24/7 every day 2 meals a day for the last 5+ years?

I am a hypocondriac tho.. I get paranoid about stuff like stomach worms...

But living in canada I can go see specialists for free who tell me this whole GERM thing is a mass marketing conspiracy to sell cleaning supplies..

If they come in a case I generally don't, but if I buy individual cans (tall cans, monsters, etc) I ALWAYS wash them. If you actually take a look inside the rim you will often see all kinds of nasty shit.

I dunno? Did I shit on my shirt? They usually are pretty clean and I use the inside not the outside.

I do if it didn't come from a closed box. Actually I try not to drink from a can that doesn't come from a closed box - I'll get a bottle instead.

Dr. took me off all carbonated beverages as of yesterday - and I have an IBC in the fridge that's mocking me :(

ummm no, I dont even wash my hands before eating sometimes, plus i have dropped food on the floor (at home) and eaten it before. My body is strong, i dont get sick.
