I have an 8800GTX or GTS or something video card with 2 dvi outputs an 1 hdmi output. I've been googling for a while and I can't find any answer.
Is it possible to hook up 3 monitors to this one card? I have 2 hooked up right now with the 2 dvi plugs, but if i hook up another screen to the hdmi output will it act as a third monitor?

As far as I know, that video card (i looked at something close to it) only allows two video out sources at one time. so 1 dvi and 1 hdmi or 2 dvi.
what you could use is something like Matrox DualHead2Go. I have the dvi version and basically allows you to plug into one DVI port and make that into 2 DVI outs. it really just makes one really long screen, but I have some app in teh background that splits the screens up.
I have two video cards on my PC, and used two Matrox dualhead2gos running 4 monitors (4 22"s). honestly, it was pretty sick but you can tell there was a HUGE drag in the video. if i was only using text or doign simple stuff, it was fine but anything more than that looked like crap. right now im back to two 22" but considering using the second video out (dvi) on the other card to hook up three
