George W. Bush Sewage Plant?
The Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco has proposed renaming the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant in honor of President George Bush, calling it fitting after the mess he's gotten us into.
Hoping to put the initiative on the November ballot, supporters have garnered more than 10,000 signatures and turned them in to city officials. They need 7,000 valid names to qualify.
"We think that it's important to remember our leaders in the right historical context. In President Bush's case, we think that we will be cleaning up a substantial mess for the next 10 or 20 years," a member of the Commission said.
