Rogers to offer cheaper iPhone plan
 

Rogers Wireless has apparently caved to consumer demands and outrage over its high rate plans for the iPhone 3G. The company announced today that they will be offering a limited time promotional offer for iPhone purchasers that will allow customers to add a 6GB data plan for $30.

Previously, Rogers had unveiled data plans that were much more expensive and offered less which outraged many potential iPhone buyers and spurred online protests and much negative attention for the company.

The new plan will be available until August 31, 2008 for those who sign-up on a three year contract.

Just called Fido and they are releasing it as well on the 11th of July but their packages are quite a bit higher .. and the phone will only be available with a 3 year contract .. ghey .. I am fido city .. $49.00 a month with unlimited local calls .. and it would be another $100 for 6GB of data .. so we're not exactly doing well here in Canada as far as net over the phone goes .. but yippee they give you free wifi on their hotspots .. whoopty shit .. so does my neighbor ..

Sigh I am already on contract..

too bad they don't have it on sprint, their unlimited data is $15/month
