Does it always hurt when you replace a design?
I just made a new design for a gallery for one of the paysites I promote.
The old design was from 2003. It was butt ugly, extremely simple and converted like crazy. Pure K.I.S.S. There are new demands though in this time and the gallerydesign gets listed less and less. So now I made a new one. Using all the marketing tricks and design tricks I picked up since 2003. It still hurts to say goodbye to the old design though.... It was warm and easy like my old sneakers... :Oh crap |
Hurts every time...you just got to learn to love the new one, heh.

Only until it converts. Every design change hurts and makes me panic until I see it convert. Then I panic a little more when the conversion ratios drop for a week. Lol.
I'm a worrier. |

I work in some of your niches Pat.. infact we trade traffic lol. But in my main niche shittier designs seem to convert better. You know how it goes. Latest isn't always greatest. Hope you backed up the 2003 one lol

This one is not for our beloved niche btw.... Though I will have to change those as well. Less painfull though as those are all 2005+ New demands of krawl. I can not afford to lose their traffic! :) |
i totally know what you mean. even if the old design sucks and the new design rocks its hard.

I usually get sick of designs then change.
