I love this new setup at the airport

Breaking it down to expert, casual and novice traveler has made getting to the gates a breeze.

Thank you TSA.

I haven't flown since they changed that. I always get sick of the idiots trying to go through security.

Have you noticed any people who barely fly going to the expert line?

Blazed 07-07-2008 02:21 PM

I bet its always a breeze for you on your wheelchair.

Actually, it sucks. Takes forever...

Anyway, splitting up the various traveler types is a great idea. They should have tried to long ago... though I am envisioning my recent trip to Wal-Mart. 70-year-old clueless people trying to work the self checkout machine...

To be honest, goodgirl, myself and one other person were the only ones using it.

I bet novices think you have to be pre-approved.

I like flying out of our little airport, so easy to check in etc. I'll see how things work at Midway on our way back however. Fill me in if you flew out of Midway

OzMan 07-07-2008 05:02 PM

I thought you were talking about clear

Sorry, mixed up Midway with O'Hare

Midway is the one I use most of the time.

that link took forever to load just like most planes do :(

Doesnt everyone head for the expert gate due to the mindset of people?

I wouldnt have thought the plan would work but if it does well lm wrong

I guess you missed my second post in this thread. There were only three people using the expert line, and two of them were goodgirl and myself.

Daruma 07-07-2008 11:04 PM

Senior Citizens often get special treatment - congrats :thumbsup

Im in canada remember we dont have high speed yet :(

Yes i saw your second post ,what l meant to say is how long do you think before everyone just heads for the expert lane,im guessing everyone will at a latter date,or in fact if they can see the line ups they will simply go to the shortest line ?

there is a service that if you pay a premium fee, they will do a background check and pre-screening and you dont have to go through that many security check points... I think its more used for flying out side the country than anything else. i saw something on the news about a month ago about it. ill look for a link

There's one in Canada for frequent flyers that works with biometrics.

It's coming sooner or later anyways with the introduction of RFID passports.

Although a system able to perform a facial-recognition match between the bearer and his or her image stored on the contactless chip is desired, it is unclear when such a system will be deployed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security at its ports of entry.
