San Diego ready for Delmar horse racing 2008?
 

Only 12 more days. Every year I get more and more excited. I start my workday at 5AM just so I can cut my days short and go to the races. Nothing in this world is more fun than the delmar horse races. :thumbsup

Grew up in Solana Beach, I still make a trip at least once a season to spend a few days at the track. Always loved opening day, all those hotties in their hats.....:winkwink:

Never been, but I grew up going to the Santa Anita RaceTrack (Arcadia) and Hollywood Park since my parents were horseracing addicts, and so we'd be at the race tracks every Saturday like clock work lol..........I recall Laffit Pincay Jr, Chris McCarron, and Eddie Delahousaye... them were the days (Can't believe I just dated myself LOL).

I live a couple of miles away ---- and every summer, I DREAM of the day that racing season is over and traffic returns to normal..... :helpme

The fair is bad enough. Damn, carnies!!!

True...but at least fair traffic is usually spread out throughout the day.
When it's Del Mar season and I have to be on the 5, or go to Albertson's or the bank at the "wrong time" - I just thank the lord that I don't have an Uzi in the car.....
