Bringing your computer tower on a plane:
 

I would call the travel company but why would i do that when there are not only law and medical experts here but also travel experts!

i am going to washington on the 8th and i was wondering if i can just box up my computer tower and bring it along with me?

do i need to tell them or anything along those lines?

and yes i have laptop, i do designs, and i find designing on laptops is not the same at all.

fedex be the way to go... only cost about $50

i've done it. didn't have a problem. carried it with a harness right on. wasnt even in a box.

Just find a dime piece at the airport to carry your tower on her lap

like your actual tower i mean?
just like put it as carry on?

took both my puter and two tft screens on a cheap ass transavia flight, boxed it up with some protection surrounding it.

BIG NOTE: take out your harddrives and bring em in the normal lugguage that you can carry on board of the plane itself, as the personel sometimes can be rough on your stuff dont rely on the hardrive in the puter to be fine but carry em with ya...

Yep. When I moved back from Tampa to L.A. I Actually used their tape at the counter to fennagle a carrying handle for it. They are going to put it through the xray machine and all but its not a security issue as far as I know.

They asked me what it was and I told them I am a designer and computer geek and they said ok. They did make me plug it in though. Just so they could see it was running and they swabbed it with their handy dandy explosives patches, but didnt really seem to bother them.
