[BIZ] SPONSORS: Re-watermarking your content for promotion?
 

Thoughts on promoting image content and watermarking the domain i'm promoting from and covering yours up so I can get the surfer to your join page without them doing a direct typein from viewing the images and possibly losing the sale?

Sure. Hire your own models, edit your own pictures, put whatever watermark you like on them, develop your own Promo methods (Potd Motd,peels, FHGs, etc. etc. ) and send the traffic to us!

Hey i'm not inferring that I own the content.... just using it to get the traffic to where it needs to go.... to the join page. To be honest I don't want to "own" any content...

Legally, by removing watermarks, would that infer I own it? Then maybe not a good idea at all, since I don't need anybody knocking on my door looking for 2257.... :)

If a sponsor was silly enough to let you watermark their very expensive content as your own, then yes, you would be responsible for the content.
That's one of the reasons that watermarks exist.
...also why I suggested that you use your own content....
Watermarks are there for a purpose, not JUST as an advertising method.

Maybe if the sponsor owned the domain in question and let you host it. Other than that I really couldn't see it.
